Country Mart — Local services in St. Clair

A big thank you to Jessica and Courtney for helping to make my husband's retirement celebration on July 5th a big success. It was a good experience from the beginning! Thank you!

We have used your bakery services for many years for special occasions and have been very happy. The cake was beautiful this time as usual. They have always done such a good job with the cake that as long as they are aware of our serious allergy to red dye and write what I want on the cake, I trust them to pick what colors are best to use and how to decorate it. They have yet to disappoint.

This is only the second time to get food from Country Mart and the first time to have the food catered to us at Orchard park. The ladies delivering the food were very nice and on time. The food temperature was perfect and stayed hot for quite a while. Many people complimented on how good the meal tasted especially the fried chicken, chicken strips, and bacon flavored green beans. The mashed potatoes and both kinds of gravy were a hit as well.

We are glad to share our good experience with others.

They do not honor the ad that's on line or if there is a tag on a product in store. Two times this has happened to me within 2 weeks. This has happened on several occasions as well and I have had enough. The biggest problem I have with it all it came from the owner of the store to not honor the prices. Every store honors prices rather it be their mistake or not but this store. That goes to show me that the owners do not value their customers and they do not care about customer satisfaction. If the sale ad states a certain price rather it be a mistake or not they should honor that. If a price is wrote on a sale card and it was not supposed to still be there, they should honor that. That is not the customer's fault and they should get that price. I think that by honoring your customers better would make for a more successful business. If every store can do it why can't...

Good variety. Great beer/alcohol selection. Excellent produce section. Fresh baked goods are great; fried chicken and other items from the deli are delicious. The store is always clean and tidy.

I've been on a bit of a health kick lately and yesterday I was able to find tons of organic products, local honey and local farm-grown produce. I believe they even offer fresh organic milk.

My only negative would be that checkout lines are sometimes long. Prices are a little higher than a big chain store, but I'd rather shop local than drive to the next town to save a buck.

The store owner was very sweet when my four year old grandson stopped him to ask a (very important 😉)...
