Original Italian Pizza - St Clair — Restaurant in St. Clair

I am not sure why I keep ordering from here. Nearly every time I do there is an issue with my food. Most times they fix the order and redeliver and this is the only place (when they make it right) I actually like my subs from. I always get Turkey, no onions, extra mayo (only way to make sure there is mayo on the sub is to get extra). Well, they started charging extra for the extra mayo (which is fine as long as there is actually mayo on the sub). Well, once again ordered my sub (at least the didn't put onions on it this time) with extra mayo (cost an extra 50 cents) and 3 orders of perogies in butter and onions. Was only supposed to take half hour to get (took an hour and a half), perogies were cold and absolutely no butter on them so they were dry and sub had absolutely no mayo on it. Called them to advise and asked the to just at least refund me the extra mayo charge (I know only 50 cents why bother... because I am tired of paying for stuff I don't actually get) because I already had to wait an hour and a half and I had to leave, so replacement was not an option. Was told it would be taken care of and was asked if I wanted it redelivered. Advised several times DO NOT redeliver. Left my house, and almost an hour after contacting OIP we get a phone call (5 minutes from my destination) saying our food was delivered to the porch. I asked why there was food delivered to an empty house when I specifically told them not to redeliver because there would not be anyone home. Even though this is the only place I actually like my turkey subs from, this may very well be the last one I ever get. It isn't very economic for me or the business...

My fiancé and I stopped here with the kid's after school today.. I actually wanted to go to Cracker Barrel.. eh.. borning.. bit he talked me into stopping here.. Thank God I agreed... we had eaten their before.. but just for grabbing pizza..

Well.. we ordered the frickles.. (fried pickles) A turkey club.. no tomatoes.. onion rings.. large Mac and cheese with stewed tomatoes on the side.. a bowl of chicken noodle soup.. pizza... chicken fingers and French fries.. Everything was perfect... there wasn't a thing the cook or the waitress got wrong.. our waitress was extremely friendly and she was on top of things .. I wish I could remember her name to give her a shout out during my review .. She refilled drinks promptly.. the serving of Mac and cheese was huge.. the stewed tomatoes were sweet.. but not overly sweet.. being this is a town "pizza shop",.. I had pretty low expectations.. the club sandwich came out perfectly.. no tomatoes as requested .. piping hot onion rings... good onion rings.. pizza was excellent.. the soup wasn't anything special.. next time I'll be getting their Italian wedding soup.. they have many soups to chose from! I was craving soup and sandwich .. I will definitely be stopping here within the next week or 2! Thanks so much for the delicious meal! Next time I'll remember to get pics!

Not all franchises are created equal. It's sad that they don't have 6 stars because these guys are amazing. We found them while up in the area at a local amusement park. Now it is our go to for anything Italian. Our family lives over 2 1/2 hours away and we will drive to this specific OIP to eat! Sometimes just because we love the food, sometimes for special occasions. Always friendly staff and always amazing food. They even remember us (maybe because they think we're crazy for driving this far) but to us, it's worth it. If you're in the area, we recommend this OIP hands down.
