A few of the employees working at this location need to be let go! First, the girl who brought the food didn’t say a word! No, “Do you need anything else” or “enjoy”, not even a smile! I Went to the counter for bbq and Ranch. Same girl just looks at me. No, “can I help you?”. I awkwardly asked for the sauces and said thank you. Again, nothing! After eating, we order clustered and waited 20 min, nothing! Went to the counter, about 5 employees just standing there. They see my # and scramble for the items that have been sitting there. One of the girls hands the shake to me saying “Is all you had”? I tried giving her my receipt and said no, and told her my other item. She hands it to me rudely. I start to walk away and the girl very snarky says, Don’t you want your spoon”? I turn around to get it and the RBF girl was standing beside her. I proceeded to say, “The two of you need a lesson in customer service”. They both start running their mouths! I asked for the manager and one all snooty says, “they are on break”. Another employee comes over and tries to ask what’s going on. I try to explain but they are both of them with raised voices are asking each other what they did. I shake my head and just walk away to the table in the back of the restaurant. I explain to my husband what happened and he can still hear the girls talking about me! He marched up there and told them it’s not acceptable to talk about a customer where the whole restaurant can hear! He asks for the manager and gets the same response. He tells them he will wait there while they go get them. Both of the girls were still running their mouths with the manager and about 10 other employees now standing behind the counter! The manager offered to remake the melted custard and give him coupons. That is not what bothered us, it’s your horrible employees! They need to be taught some...
Read moreWe used to stop at this Culver's on all our trips towards Brainerd. We won't be any more. On Sunday, we stopped for carry out. There were at least fifteen employees and they had one person taking orders. They took SO long to make our food. It seemed like about half of the employees weren't really doing anything, but there were a LOT of people waiting for food! Some of it sat for awhile before being bagged. It was really hard to watch! The brought out two of our custards and the topping on one was wrong. My daughter just ate it as is because we figured it would take way too long for them to correct it. The other two custards, we had to ask for, and they brought them out to us one at a time. So, what should have been a 10 minute stop was almost a half hour.
Today, we planned to stop on our way back and walked in. There were at least 8 people waiting for their orders and probably 5 groups waiting to place their orders. Since we had such a long wait on Sunday and nobody had been in line in front of us, we figured we'd be there an hour! The other thing was, it smelled like an electrical fire inside the restaurant. Between the incredibly long wait and the smell, we left without ordering anything.
We're disappointed because Culver's has been our favorite but this location does not earn our...
Read moreCulver’s in St. Cloud is a solid choice for a casual meal. It’s not a place I go out of my way for, but when I do stop in, I know I’ll get a decent meal. The restaurant is usually clean, and the staff is friendly enough. Service can be a little slow during busy times, but that’s expected, and they at least get the orders right.
I usually go for a ButterBurger, and it’s consistently good. The patties have a nice sear, and the bun is soft but holds up well. It’s not the best burger I’ve ever had, but for a fast-food chain, it’s definitely one of the better options. The fries are fine—nothing special—but they’re crispy and go well with the signature Culver’s cheese sauce.
One of the highlights for me is the Pork Loin Sandwich. It’s simple but well-done. The pork loin is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and it doesn’t feel overly greasy. With some lettuce, tomato, and mayo, it’s a good alternative to a burger if you’re in the mood for something different.
The custard is worth mentioning too. I don’t get it every time, but when I do, it’s always smooth and creamy. They rotate the flavors, so there’s usually something interesting to try.
Overall, Culver’s in St. Cloud is reliable. It’s not gourmet, but it’s a good place for a quick meal when you want something familiar...
