Cash Wise in St. Cloud is a pretty reliable place to do grocery shopping. Itās not the fanciest store, but it has a good selection, and the prices are generally fair. Iāve been shopping here for a while, and while I wouldnāt say itās my favorite grocery store, itās a solid choice when I need to pick up essentials.
The produce section is usually decent. Sometimes, you have to check the freshness of certain items, but for the most part, Iāve had good luck finding what I need at reasonable prices. The meat department is also good, especially for everyday items like chicken and ground beef. Iāve bought steak here a few times, and itās been fineānot the best Iāve had, but good enough for the price. The deli is convenient too, especially if I need something quick for lunch or dinner.
The store layout is easy to navigate, though it can get crowded at peak times, which makes getting through the aisles a bit of a hassle. Checkout is usually smooth, though Iāve had a few longer waits when itās busy. The employees are generally helpful, but like anywhere, service can vary depending on the day.
One nice perk is the gas discount program, which is a small but useful bonus. Overall, Cash Wise is a solid grocery store. Itās not perfect, but itās a practical option if youāre looking for fair prices and a decent selection without a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday around 3:15p.m. I had went in with my 2 children (whom both have autism) to pick up some much needed groceries. Everything was fine, went through the check-out line, bagged everything and then as we were leaving, a very stressful incident had occurred that made our situation very dire. I'm not normally one to ask someone for help, but I stepped outside of my comfort zone and asked (I am sorry for not catching his name) the cashier who oversees the self check-out lanes if he or someone else could help my kids and I to my car since I was by myself and I couldn't/wouldn't leave them in there by themselves....I had to carry one of my children because he is too big to fit in the carts, but I wasn't able to push the cart at the same time either. Anyways, he was able to get 2 other guys to come up to him that said they would cover for him to help me and he did just that. He gladly helped me all the way out to my vehicle. Normally when people witness these situations unfolding in public they look away or judge (and there was a lot of that there that day), but I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for showing kindness and grace towards me and my children. I've been shopping at this location for many many years and I'll continue to do so as I've always had a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLately it feels like I need to be checking every expiration date and inspecting everything before I put it in my cart. Over the weekend I bought a pack of 4 buns in the bakery section, specialty kind of buns. The best by date stamped on them had 3 days left. When I go to eat one I could taste the mold. It was hard to miss because these buns had many black seeds sprinkled on top of them. When I looked closer, sure enough there were small patches of mold scattered around. The mold blended in with the seeds. Same shopping trip, I bought shredded cheese. When I go to use it, the date stamped on them is October 19th 2022. I bought the cheese November 27th 2022. More then a month passed the expiration date. This one shopping trip isn't the only one either. I've had an issue in which I purchases english muffins past the expiration date and they too had mold. Talking to friend about this, she too has also had issues with expired food. She bought yogurt that ended up being 2 weeks past the expiration date! I'll no longer be shopping at Cash Wise. If you can't take the time to clear your shelves of expired food then I can shop elsewhere. I'm tired of burning money on food...
