I'm giving 3 Arrows 5 stars because I like their coffee and I've generally had good service, but today I'm a little irritated. I've read the replies from the shop and when they've had a bad review, they've said something to the effect that they wished that person would have spoken to a manager about the issue. In this case, the issue I had was with the manager. I choose to drive 15 minutes to 3 Arrows instead of Caribou (I live within a minute drive of them) generally because I like to support small business and try to do so whenever possible. Also, I oftentimes stop to buy a couple of lg specialty drinks per day when I take my disabled partner out for drives. I also buy food products from them as well. I tried to call them this morning and was not able to get through because their voice mailbox was full and another number wasn't working. I wanted to be sure they were open before I drove up there because it's Memorial Day and I wasn't sure. Luckily they were open and as the manager was making my coffee I told her about not being able to get through and asked if I could get their number for the future. She said "I'm sorry, I don't know it of the top of my head". I understand how that can happen and I said so. I waited until she was done and reminded her that I got a piece of cheesecake as well. I then asked again if I could get the number because surely she just have it somewhere and she said "Sorry, it's in my phone". I was just sort of confused and asked "So, I can't get the number?" and she said "Sorry" and proceeded to help the person behind me. I have to admit I was pretty miffed as I drove home and was considering not going back. I don't want to hurt a small business and that you should speak up if you have a problem, so this is how I'm doing it. Otherwise, I really like the coffee and the other employees have always been...
Read moreHave not ordered food but they have greatly expanded their menu offerings since I was last there.
That said, we had to wait at least 5 min for two hot coffee drinks with no special requests. This was later in the morning , so not really busy. There was plenty of help, but only one person making the coffees even though the others offered assistance--she refused.
No one from the staff , offered greetings. As a customer service employee myself I find that slightly offensive. Greet your customers! Even if busy, and show them you are happy to serve them and have them visit your place.
We will probably try again in the future. They have also remodeled the seating areas since we were last there, however, there was a strange smell in the large room that smelled like a barn(?). I couldn't figure it out and we were not staying there anyway to drink our coffee.
So, the plus side- expanded food menus and remodeled seating. Minuses- train your people better in customer service and improve process times. Also, what is the smell in the large...
Read moreMaybe we caught them on a rough day because the reviews looked great, but the experience we had was not. The drinks were tasteless and bitter and the attitudes of the baristas were the same. We are super friendly and personable and attempted to carry small talk twice only to be ignored and left standing with no customer service. The person who came in after us must have known the staff because they had a great conversation about soccer and people they knew. We were not spoken to and our drinks were slammed down in front of us. We sat in the shop and read and chatted for about an hour. I had missed that they closed at 4pm, and the barista came out and rudely said "so like we close at 4pm, yeah" and walked away. There were 4 other people in there as well. We were bummed because we planned a trip around coming here, and it definitely was not worth the hour drive. Luckily the rest of the trip was great. I will say the Almond...
