My son and I went on a road trip the 4th of July holiday weekend. After driving for three hours, we started looking for a place to eat. You may not believe this , but we followed a billboard advertisement for this restaurant from the highway. We pulled in to the parking lot not really sure what to expect, but that is part of the fun of a road trip. We were pleasantly surprised to find a friendly, decent Mexican food place on the road that is more like a mom and pop restaurant and not a franchise. It was nice to feel the AC on a very hot day. My son really enjoyed his margarita to help to cool down just from the walk from the car. A point to note, there are two larges bigger than this one on the menu. The food was pretty good, and we truly enjoyed our time here. The staff was friendly and courteous. They answers all of our questions. We had so many questions due to the very, very large menu selections. I would suggest that there are too many options on the menu. I would reduce the menu down to a smaller number of options as it just creates confusion and longer decision times. If you find yourself on the road or a local to the area, please stop by here. From my personal perspective, I hope the road trips do not die because of high gas prices or the onset of electric vehicles. Our road trip was truly enjoyable and to visit these types of places makes it...

I almost never leave bad reviews, just because I hate being negative. This food is AWFUL. First, fajitas and taco salad doesn’t cook in less than two minutes, and that’s exactly how long my food took to come out. My wife ordered taco salad, and the first one she had to send back because the salad was a legit swimming pool of grease., Her second taco salad was no better. They forgot to put the guacamole on the side like she’d asked, and there was a huge chunk of what looked like mystery meat inside the second one. My fajitas were terrible, flavorless, and almost cold, like it had been already prepared when we had ordered and they just gave it to us. When we got home, we both puked up dinner. The wait staff that helped us Is mediocre. We still left a good tip because we understand everyone has an off day. However, our server had no idea there was a problem until the very end. We were only able to send the taco salad back because we flagged down another guy who basically refused to get our waitress. By the time our waitress learned of our disappointment, and tried to fix it, we were already so disgusted we just wanted to leave. She did try to help, but too little, too late. Do...

If you are Mexican or love to eat spicy Mexican food this place is not for you. I read some reviews saying that didn’t have any flavor or so little salt. So, even though I was a little scare to eat here I was in the mood of Mexican food and this was the closest one to our driving road. The food was good, but not amazing; I which they don’t put cheese or whatever was on the rice and beans. The chicken soup looks delicious and my gringo bf loves it (the put avocado as topping which I love and you will too). We also ordered shrimp quesadilla which was ok, and the mix fajitas was good, but I could be better (I can’t tell what the miss to be perfect), but to be honest I was expecting a little more flavor. For other hand the tortillas chips with the red sauce was delicious (again, no spicy even though my bf thought that it was a little bit). Btw, the...

The absolute worst Mexican I've ever had. Every plate we ordered was BLAND. No spice, no flavor, no anything. I ordered the $25 mocajete which was smaller than an order of fajitas and far more expensive. Playing chicken and beef with some measly onions and canned cactus. TERRIBLE, and even worse it's the highest priced mocajete I've ever had. The burrito de la roqueta was bland and not put together according to my daughter. My wife had the choripollo. The chicken tasted VERY weird and the so-called chorizo tasted like ground beef with ketchup on it. This place is NOTHING like authentic Mexican. Absolutely nothing. So 70 bucks later, we're disappointed and writing this review. Waitress was hot, so at least there was something to look at besides the horrid flavorless food.
