Palermo Italian Cuisine & Bar — Restaurant in St. Johns Precinct

Oh my gosh. Everything was excellent. We started with the calamari and caprese salad. The balsamic on the caprese was perfect. I literally would eat this every day. The calamari was lightly breaded and came with a nice, refreshing dipping sauce. So good.

We shared the balsamic salmon and gnocchi entrees. The sear on the salmon gave it a nice crust while keeping the salmon juicy and flavorful. The gnocchi was, as my husband said, “perfect little pillow potatoes”— melt in your mouth good. I would gladly eat either entree again, but definitely looking forward to trying other dishes on our future visits.

We ordered desserts to go because we were FULL. The little filling I sampled from the cannolis in the car leads me to believe I won’t be disappointed!!

Large portions, excellent flavors, attentive but not overbearing service. You can tell they care about the foods they are putting out.

Words don’t describe how happy I was after taking my first bite here! We ordered a little bit of everything to try it all and it did not disappoint! Phenomenal! I have tried many, many foods in my lifetime and I am so overjoyed with the entire experience of Palermo! From the atmosphere to the owners and food! Absolutely incredible! You WILL NOT find a better restaurant near Sioux City! I literally did a happy dance in my seat the ENTIRE time I ate! This place is like no other be sure to give it a try you will not be disappointed! Absolutely spectacular dishes, incredible flavor! My belly is full and I am speechless! Thank you Palermo for such a wonderful food experience! 5 Shining Stars...

Just got done eating here , ( moment of silence ) Phenomenal ! Everything about this place is a hidden jem ! If you can’t make it to Italy stop here staff was so nice and explained specials and desserts so well , many yummy sweet treat options . My partner is very picky and absolutely loved his dish ! I got the stuffed spinach raveoli with shrimp and vodka sauce and holy … so damn good . I had to pace myself early so I could try their desserts and we got the chocolate tart which came with their icecream , raspberry’s on side with sauce and SO GOOD! Would 100% recommend and I cannot wait to literally not shut up and tell everyone I know about...
