Saturday Lunch Stop- when traveling, always stop in the smaller towns! Taking Historic Hwy 20 and came thru Jackson, NE after crossing the River from Iowa. The Lunch Box popped up on the map and this worked perfect! Besides the normal menu, today was Sausage Gravy and Biscuits and Beef Barley Soup I had the soup and my olâman had the Sausage Gravy and BiscuitsâŚDELICIOUS!! Both were served Piping Hot! And ample servings to boot! The soup hit the spot as right now I am on the end of a âbad coldââŚ.We took a bread pudding to go, because it is made out of their famous cinnamon rolls- I snuck a taste before going out the door and this is how bread pudding is done well, my tummy is happy. My all time favorite and what keeps me coming back each week is the pecan rolls and cinnamon rolls..now these are homade and to die for....I believe it's 15.00 for six rolls...and way better then cinnabon or any commercial company....this lady makes them herself and the taste is like grandma's baking at home...I pop in micro for 30 seconds add butter and it's a wonderful treat that I won't share once...
