Bagels & Beyond — Restaurant in Stafford Township

Walked in there was about 15 people. All of which got their food before my small order or two wraps and a muffin. The sign on the front door which looks like graffiti “cash only” is hardly visible to some. Clearly, because I watched 9 people irritated having to go to the store ATM which of course had a high fee. I asked for a coffee cup, figured I’d have some coffee while I waited 32 minutes for my order I was told to pay first. What? There’s no cash only sign at the register. After approx 80 customers walking in and walking out with similar orders or even more… I continued to wait while the staff at the griddle laughed and seemingly having a social event. The young employees were hard working and very helpful. The wraps were two of the worst wraps ever attempted. $34 for two wraps a coffee and a muffin is insane. I’m born and raised NJ, we are known for our bagels and the size. These were half the size of every bagel store I’ve been too. Men’s bathroom had no hand soap. And there was no decaf coffee. Minimal and empty milk options. The owner/manager should be on top of all this, instead of doing payroll while customers are vocally complaining. ...

Honestly the food is really really good, I’ve been ordering from there for almost 4 years, several times a month, absolute best bagels in the area. My only complaint is that my order is almost always, no exaggeration, wrong in some way and I am only ever ordering for me and my girlfriend. I give the person on the phone specific instructions on how to make my food and it’s ALWAYS wrong. I don’t ask unreasonable requests either and am for the most part pretty understanding with food service mistakes. I am by no means a “Karen” but it’s almost comical at this point that I have to check my food and let them know about a mistake Every. Single. Time. If I drive home without checking I almost always have to drive back. If you can get past that, they have amazing bagels and the best cream cheese I’ve ever had. This applies only to the beach haven west location, the route 72...

Walked in the door for the first time since change of hands and I see taller man, dark hair, glasses shoving cold in his mouth wearing the same gloves he was serving guests in. I was disgusted but still craving my bagel and my son really wanted one so I couldn't just walk out... But for future.... Maybe hide and eat.. dip down behind the counter unseen and take your bite. Chew quickly and that should be done discreetly... Then after I was about to walk away after our bagels were finished, he was coughing mucus loudly........ EWWWW where the hell did this person come from? He is the face of the place...... Maybe he shouldn't be working the front.... And lastly, after all, I used to get a everything bagel with strawberry 🍓 cream cheese and they didn't have it so I settled for blueberry...... My 11 year old was upset but he will adapt. Damn, I won't be back...
