A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Stanley

We arrived here to order supper last night and the service was horrible! We waited at least 8-10 minutes before being able to even place our order (there had been only one care in front of us prior to placing our order). We were about to drive away when we were rudely told that we could place our order. We decided to go ahead and order. Once we made it to the window we sat there for 2-3 minutes while one of the employees sat there and stared at us through the window without taking payment or talking to us at all. It was another 5-7 minutes before a young lady opened the window and asked if we had paid. She took our payment and never apologized for the long wait. It was yet another 2-3 minutes before our food arrived. One thing we ordered was chili cheese fries and the cheese sauce was all over EVERYTHING in the bag! The food was all cold, the chili cheese fries were undercooked with a light smattering of chili and cheese sauce on one side only (which caused the cheese to spill out and go everywhere), and the cheese curds were borderline overcooked. We were at this particular location one other time and it was only a slightly better experience. We will most likely not return to this location due to the poor service and...

Sign waa small and not obvious, the service ... I asked if they had barbeque. They replied yes, so it was a barbeque an a root beer float. When I got to the window I was handed the float and told thank you as though that was it. Umm, the BBQ? I asked. Oh yes, she said ... and handed me a little container of BBQ sauce. I looked at it, then at the service person, she looked at me, then at the BBQ sauce. I was confused, she was confused ... uh is there a BBQ sandwich? .... Uhh no, she replied. We looked at each some more and then the little sauce packet. Sooo, you don't have a BBQ sandwich? .... no we don't. As I was waiting for a replacement burger I saw a notice on the drive thru window apologizing for the root beer issues (now fixed) and a desperate plea for workers, any workers. Hope they make it but if I had a do over for a road stop I would have done...

Usually our family goes here for a treat every now and then. Yesterday I was completely appalled by a young girl worker there. She "blew up" the bathroom and left the toilet absolutely disgusting with fecies. I was bringing my daughter in to wash up before ordering food and she came out with a smirk on her face, knowing what she had done and then proceeded straight to the kitchen of A&W restaurant. First and foremost she mentioned food poisoning to her coworkers and bragged about leaving that display! Seriously, someone that sick should not be working with food! Naturally we all decided not to eat there, knowing she would be working with our order. The real question was, why was the sink dry if she washed her hands before she returned to work 🤮 let's just say we didn't see it as...
