The Wing Pickup — Restaurant in Statesville

This place started out awesome! Strips,wings and homemade chips were hands down the best. My last three orders were just not good. 1 their geese was old and food tatted as such. 2 homemade chips we're just greasy crumbs of potatoes, and the few chips that were whole were undercooked. However my chicken strips were still good. 3 and this was my last visit. This was just last week, the chicken strips not sure what happened but none of the breading would stay on there for none of the sauce was on. My homemade chips again we're just overcooked greasy crumbs and any whole chips were basically raw and hard. I actually ordered a side of their nachos, a $9 side. These were also just a bunch of burnt potato crumbs covered in nacho cheese. So my whole order was around $30 and none of it was good. So sadly this was and started out as a really great place to eat but now they can't even make homemade chips properly. I will say the staff is always very pleasant and nice I've never had bad customer service, but obviously the cook...

We ordered takeout and could not have been more happy with our order. One of us got the 6 wings combo with sweet bbq wings, home made chips, and lemonade. Another person ordered the chicken strips plate, which had the chips and 4 chicken strips and garlic parmesan sauce on the side. I had the 6 wings plate with chips, and my wings were coated with the "award-winning" sauce. All of the meals were hot when picked up, and all of them were absolutely delicious--chicken as well as chips. When ordering online you can have your chicken coated in a sauce (or 2), or served on the side. They have combos, plates, and solos (items served alone), including large numbers of nuggets, wings, and strips. The restaurant had classic rock music playing (inside and out), was clean, and had some picnic tables at the edge of the parking lot if you wanted to eat al fresco. Fantastic food and staff; hard-to-beat prices. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to The Wing Pickup. I went with my friend on a whim when we were given two coupons to the eatery itself. I got myself a chicken sandwich, some chicken nuggets, their Cajun chips, the pasta salad, and a strawberry lemonade. The staff were all polite and well-mannered; they were attentive with our indecision on the menu. The wait time was perfectly fine and felt short. The chicken nuggets were delicious and well-seasoned. The pasta salad was tangy and mixed well. The Cajun chips tasted fresh and house-made. The chicken sandwich had a clean and good taste with a unique flavor. The strawberry lemonade was tart and sweet, just how I like it. To anyone that is in Statesville and even remotely likes chicken product: come to this restaurant and give them more business, please. Just don't go when I'm there...I don't...
