Taqueria Mi Tierra — Restaurant in Statham

Food is great but beware because they charge you for chips and salsa. This is something I've never experienced at a Mexican restaurant in my life and I am 51 years old. $33 plus tip for takeout of one adult meal($12), one child meal($6.50 for half of a very small cheese quesadilla and literally a dozen fries if that, didn't even give us the "included" drink), "medium" cheese dip($7) and salsa with a few chips! When I called back to inquire how we ended up at $33 because I could not figure it out in my head, I'm advised that the small container of salsa that I got to go with our food was an extra $3.50? Now every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to you get unlimited chips and salsa if you eat in and if you get a plate to go you automatically get a small bag of chips with a small container of salsa PER plate. And every restaurant that I have ever ordered cheese dip from, the cheese dip automatically comes with a bag of chips based on the size of cheese dip you're ordering and a small serving of salsa to go with the cheese dip. This is even if you ordered no food at all and just the cheese dip! Total rip-off and then wanted to argue with me that no Mexican restaurant don't automatically provide chips and salsa to you! Not sure what Mexican restaurant they've eaten that in their life but everyone I've ever...

This place is fantastic! Came recommended from a friend. We ordered the jumbo fresh margaritas and cheese dip when we arrived. The restaurant was clean and Maria wad the one to help us. She was very friendly and answered our questions because this was our first time there. Maria returned with our margaritas and cheese dip and took our order. She made a suggestion for me for the Tortas. It sounded delicious, so i ordered one. She left the table and my wife and i tried our margaritas.. they were delicious!! Our food came and the Torta was amazing! We don't live close, but will definitely return next time we are in the area. Maria took great care of us, she makes excellent margaritas, the food was great and very fresh and the restaurant was clean....

If it was up to me i wouldnt give them any stars. It took 45mins to get a margarita. Food came faster then the drinks. But can anyone say i would like order this but hold the roaches. I mean come on seriously and then the manager had the nerve to say that they come in when they get there shipment in. Have they seriously lost there mine who the hell wants to order food that roaches have crawled all over with. Then on top the restuarant was so filthy i tried to let it slide because of there only being one waitress so i figured she was to busy. But when the roaches were crawling all over the wall. I lost it. I mean seriously can anyone say i wouls like to get fajitas hold...
