Today while going through Sterling City i stopped here to get food. The lady at the front window took my payment with gloves on which was just fine due to all the spreading of the virus. My husband then noticed she touched the soda fountain to fill our drinks and then had put the lids on with her gloves covering the whole lid. When i asked if she could change them and if we could at least get new lids she just laughed and smiled and said to pull around to the front and she would bring them when she brings our food out. After waiting at least 25 minutes if not longer she brings our food but no lids or the receipt i asked for. She brings the lids and receipt and i tell her my order was wrong i didn't want fries i substituted them. She asked for the fries back (My hands had already touched the fry box so again if i had the virus it could have been transferred) and she brought out the sub. I ask her if there was a manager I could speak too and she smiled and rudely said that she was the manager. I then told her i would get in touch with corporate! Her service was the absolute worst i have ever experienced. This town has tons of travelers going through and for her to touch everybody's drinks, food bags, card machine/cash, ECT AND to have the worst attitude with customers is uncalled for. If your dealing with money and cards that's the only thing you should be allowed to handle. So thinking my husband checked everything i leave just to get down the road and realize my whole order was wrong, the food was barely luke warm, and all the lids were the wrong size for our cups. Like i said corporate WILL get called. and whoever hired the let the lady to be manager must not know what they are doing. Im baffled by the way she treated us. That was the worst $40 i have ever spent on food!!! Oh and also i attached my "receipt" pictures. 2 full...
Read moreImagine this: you just spent 14 hours at work, 80 meters in the air, you're exhausted, and all you want to do is take your family for a burger and Blizzard. But then you get to Dairy Queen, and it all goes downhill from there. Distracted, snotty teenagers taking orders in between flirting with other customers and each other. Needing to repeat myself several times. Long, let me repeat, long wait times. My order had a few problems. The burger in the kids meal was completely wrong. The fries were old. Not cold- but chewy and tough. No fresh fry is chewy and tough. They're crisp and tender on the inside. When we asked to have the order corrected the server complied, but we were stared at by other workers and a couple of customers the workers were talking to. In the end we waited over 35 minutes for our food. One Blizzard was supposed to have chocolate ice cream, it did not. If this DQ doesn't have chocolate that's fine, but we should have been told. Otherwise the order is wrong. My son's cheeseburger was smashed and over cooked. My burger was over cooked, but not as badly as his was. The employees of this store were mocking. Whoever the young man was who walked out of the kitchen to replace our 2 medium fries with a box of them and a "bottle of ketchup. Here ya go, Hoss" was even more condescending and sarcastic than the little girl who got irritated first. Guess what? We "fat old people" you flexed your arms at and laughed at as you turned away because we expected correct, edible food - won't be back. Neither will anyone on my crew, or my sub...
Read moreThe young lady taking our order was more interested in checking messages on her phone before taking our order while we were standing in front of her. The restaurant was not very busy at the time. We tried to find a clean table to sit at while waiting on our food but all of them were dirty. My husband cleaned one so we could sit down and wait for our food. The food was pretty good. We both had tacos. We ordered another 3 tacos but they weren't as good. There wasn't very much meat at all. Very disappointed. We stop here at this location often and this experience was definitely a disappointment. Hopefully it improves with a few better employees. Ladies and mens bathrooms were both dirty as well.
Updated visit: We visited this DQ on the 4th of July. The cashier was friendly and had a sense of humor. She was pleasant to talk to. The food was good and all of the empty tables were clean. The only complaint I would have on this visit would be the restrooms. The women's was dirty, and my husband said the men's was also very dirty. It wasn't busy. There were 4 tables occupied at the time. The employees were staying busy during the slow times, and I didn't see a single employee looking at or playing on their cell phone. Progress! Keep up...
