CAPs Pizza and Tap House — Restaurant in Stockton

I'm just going to share my experience in hopes this doesn't happen to anyone. Wanted to check out the vibe here since a friend recommended. Me and a friend went after the gym. Noticed pool tables and wanted info about how to pay to play because it was busy. The bartender said you just go up and ask to play next. This bartender is short, big guy, red head, maybe ginger idk. 10 mins flew by, I asked to start with 2 waters so he made a comment that we NEED to be paying customers to play. (OBVIOUSLY...) Then made a comment about charging for water.. I had already ordered my appetizer from one of the waitresses. I been here for 20 minutes now.. 10 minutes passed and this same bartender.. asked my friend did we order anything. He hasn't ordered yet.. CAUSE WE LITERALLY JUST GOT HERE. same bartender said "It's been over an hour and yall havent ordered anything yet, YALL NEED TO GO". I asked him what the issue was and told him I did order something. At this point I'm already annoyed. I told the waitress that took my order to just cancel it. This all happened within 30 mins! An average of four stars. Nice little hole in the wall. I believe this used to be a nightclub/bar when UJ’s was in business. Interesting note… the receipt still says UJ’s at the top. lol We enjoyed our visit. We started with the cheesy breadsticks which were not that great. They use the wrong kind of cheese. It should be a gooey stringy cheese and this was not. I’m not sure we would re-order this. The chicken wings were good. I ordered 12 wings for $15. Naked with the sauce on the side. I would re-order these. I had barbecue and sweet chili sauce. My son had the create your own 12 inch pizza with three items $18.50. He said it was good. He would probably re-order it. This place is a lot like Smack Pie Pizza in Lodi. They have lots of TVs. It would be a great place to watch the Super Bowl but the place is small and I’m sure they get packed. My girlfriend and our kids wanted to try something new over the weekend. We've heard about this place and looks like a really cool spot to hang out with other adults in the evenings. We did a little research and called whether the place was "kid friendly." The guy on the phone seemed really cool and said it was, and that the older crowd usually comes in later on Fridays and the weekends. We decided to go and my family enjoyed the place and the food. My gf has a dairy allergy so she was happy to hear that they had vegan cheese. Not being vegan or having dairy allergies, my kids and I thought the pizza was really good, and even better than other places that we've frequented in the past that has the vegan cheese option.
