POMP Salon — Local services in Stockton

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Pomp Salon in Stockton, CA. After being a loyal customer for years, this visit was an absolute nightmare. I asked for a specific shade of blonde, but the stylist, Suzie, gave me something entirely different—and far from what I requested. To make matters worse, she charged hourly, keeping me in the chair far longer than necessary. This wasn’t just unprofessional—it felt like a scam.

The most devastating part? She completely burnt off my hair and scalp. The very next day, I had to visit my dermatologist because my scalp was so severely burnt. This has never happened to me before, and I’ve been blonde since I was 16 years old. The damage is beyond anything I could have imagined.

Despite multiple attempts to contact the owners and Suzie to resolve this disaster, I was met with indifference and absolutely no help. It’s clear they do not care about their customers or the damage they cause. This is unacceptable, especially for a salon I had been loyal to for so many years.

I’ve warned everyone I know to avoid Pomp Salon and will continue to do so. I also strongly advise against visiting their new Lodi, CA location—they clearly have no respect for their clients, no quality control, and no accountability.

I got my hair done by Kelsey and she’s absolutely amazing! I usually get haircuts and they always come out fantastic, but she recently colored my hair and we went with a balayage and it came out amazing. I love putting my hair down or up now and it just looks so much more lively and fun for the spring/summer. Thank you so much Kelsey

UPDATE: Things went south in just a month. I started to notice my color wasn’t blended evenly and my hair was turning brassy. So I contacted Kelsey to see if she could fix it - especially my “money piece” because it was the most yellow part of my hair and too thin. Instead I left with a thick, not blended, platinum money piece on both sides. In just 2 weeks it turned into a yellow brassy color (again). I’m sure there’re talented stylists in here but I didn’t get one. I saw Stefina Cuz and I will never go back again. I sat in the chair for an hour before she ever did anything to my hair. She disappeared twice for at least 45 minutes each time without ever saying what or where she was going. I had to go and get another employee to go find her. I was there for over 4 and a half hours and paid nearly $300 and was so incredibly disappointed with the end result. My hair looked the same if not worse. I’ve never been more upset leaving a salon.
