Update: Saturday, May 10, 2025 PM Went here for dinner tonight pretty much because my son loves their gravy and cheese dip. After the last experience here I did not want to go back. I ordered the beef… supposedly crisp…taco. And as you can read in my first review below, I was not happy. So I scoured the menu to look for other items. I also remembered the other item that I had last time had grilled steak in it which was very good. So I was looking for items with grilled steak. What caught my eye was the super giant burrito with steak! That’s what I ordered. Only with no beans and with extra rice. It included steak and was $20 for a burrito. Yes, it sounds outrageous but it was really really good and really really big! And I was really really happy. So this might be my standing order whenever we return. My son had two enchiladas à la carte. One cheese and one grilled chicken. He was quite happy with both. He only gets the yellow gravy which is his favorite. I had iced tea to drink which I’m sure it was fresh brewed. It was quite tasty. I know we will return‼️

The other day my son did take out from here. I ordered a chicken burrito and a Mexican Street Corn Taco. The shredded chicken in the burrito was miserable. I took most of the meat out and just ate the gravy covered tortilla. I would not order that again. The Mexican street corn taco was good. It had strips of steak in it that were quite tasty and had a good texture, unlike the chicken.

Tonight we returned and ate in the restaurant. I ordered a beef “supposedly crispy” taco and beef enchilada and silly me, I thought the beef would be similar to what I had on the Mexican Street Corn Taco the other day. Well, it wasn’t. This was chunks of beef that are overcooked and probably held in hot water throughout the day and winds up more like shredded beef with not much flavor. I was not happy with the beef. What I wanted was the type of beef that was in the Mexican street corn taco, which was strips of grilled steak. I asked the server about it and she said they can’t do that even if I was willing to pay more! So what to do? And the supposedly “crispy taco shell” was so soggy I thought maybe it was supposed to be a street taco. But the server said no that’s their crispy taco. So no Bueno on that item. We really like the yellow gravy. We ordered gravy and cheese and it was probably the best in town…better than Don Luis and Casa Flores! The waitress who was the only woman wearing a black shirt and not a hoodie greeted us with “ trying to stay positive “ a little too cryptic but we gave her the benefit of a doubt. We have some good drinks ordered, appetizer and fajita meals. We ordered triple dip appetizer that was never given to us and apparently when she brought our orders someone else was suppose to bring our appetizer. I told her to keep it as we already were given our dinner plates . Also ordered two glasses of waters which she forgot those also, but brung them and only brought one straw ! Her attitude was terrible! She even refused to being our check as the gentleman behind the bar brought it which was odd! We were super patient with her but I’m disgusted and didn’t feel like she wanted us there ! on a Friday evening. I was with a friend of mine we were at the end of the bar. I was sitting on my friend left side. When she came in I already had chip and Salas. I showed her some jewelry I had made (she had not even ordered a drink yet. I put the jewelry back in the bag and moved the bag to my left. My friend ordered a drink but by now I ordered something to eat. My friend put a 20.00 on the counter but before that I had put the chips in front of her. The female bar tender picked up my dish then grabbed the chips and put them in front of me, at the same time my friends money disappeared, the 20 was by the chips. My friend asked about her change the female bar tender said she didn't have th20,but was real quick to say we had something on the counter before, really my friend hadn't even ordered anything to be putting out any money.. I asked about the cameras and wanted to see what happened to the 20, this guy told us the cameras don't work You have a restaurant and a bar with people handling your money and you're cameras don't work,,,,???? I saw her take the 20 when she moved the chips in front of me I will be talking to someone in that place real soon, Dose not put your money on the counter always...
