I may be long winded in this review but it’s because we know the owners. Their youngest daughter is my youngest daughter’s best friend and we feel blessed and honored to have her in our lives!!
You see, it takes an incredible family to have elevated the art of a Diner menu to heights that parallel their family values of integrity, honesty, authenticity and excellence. All of which you will not understand until you take your first bite of food. As your brain adjusts to the fact that this is not a typical diner pancake, but instead, a whole new taste sensation you might even get the shivers, like I do. Because, at least for me, every feel-good neurotransmitter in my brain fires simultaneously, as soon as I take my first bite! (I can’t even talk for the first three or four minutes - neither can anyone else 😂. I have to close my eyes, just so I can take it all in!!)
I think this Diner belongs in the Napa Valley and deserves at least 3 Michelin stars - and I’ve eaten at restaurants with more than three stars so trust me when I say that! 🤩. It’s not fancy or pretentious but the service is excellent and fast, and despite always being packed with a waiting line out the door, the focus is ALWAYS on the quality of the food and no detail is EVER forgotten or sacrificed!
Although they “only” serve down home comfort food (as opposed to something “higher class”, like Nordic Reindeer on radicchio served with a culturally traditional bread, baked in a pot that is buried in the ground and baked to a toasty finish by taking advantage of the heat generated by the geothermal activity that Iceland’s volcanic activity is so famous for 😂 Totally true story!!) you will actually feel better after eating, not just full but fully satisfied, healthier and your secret belief that they just massively undercharged you for the quantity and quality of your meal will put a spring in your step as you return to your car, your mind already racing through their generous menu, planning what you’ll have tomorrow morning - when you again return, to the little Omelette House.
Because after the meal you just ate, it will never again occur to you to eat anywhere else, ever...

She then warmed it up brought the food and we never saw her again I had to ask a busboy he was so very sweet for jam for my toast oh wait when the waitress saw us pick up our purses she finally came back with our tag and ask if we needed boxes. It wasnt her fault the food was warm but she didnt need to disappear from checking on her table but of course we still left her a decent tip because its only correct 07 21 22 update wow went with my family of 10 cant say enough of our server Shannon. Read moreBreakfast is usually my favorite meal of the day. A friend from work told me about this place and after seeing the pictures I decided to make the 75 mile round trip drive to get my grub on. I arrived after working my 12 hour shift of graveyard and looking forward to try a new breakfast spot. I ordered the Mexican omelette and added spicy Portuguese sausage. It came with potatoes and I chose the country potatoes. It also came with a bread choice so I had the 1/2 waffle. First off I was doing a little happy dance in my seat when the food came out and the portion size was huge and just what I was hoping for. The country potatoes were flavorful and did not, I repeat did not need an ounce of salt or pepper. The waffle with the melted butter was better than most places with waffle in their title. Now about that huge omelette. The slight browning on the outside instantly made me think of some home cooking. It was huge, steaming, and had the colors of the chiles and melting cheddar cheese dotted throughout. The flavor was on point and the spicy Portuguese sausage gave it just the kick that I like without adding hot sauce. I ate long after I was full because everything was so good. I can't wait to go back and try something else because the menu is large and has a...
