El Forastero Mexican Food — Restaurant in Stockton

My husband and I were driving through this town and decided to stop here, not many choices at 10:30 at night. We ordered 3 rolled tacos each for a total of just about $20 with no drink which is crazy expensive to begin with. We opened the container and noticed the small servings, there was no lettuce or anything other than the rolled tacos and very little sour cream. The inside of the restaurant was closed so I walked up to the drive thru window and spoke to a young lady who said her name was Sarah. I spoke to her about the lack of food, she took everything personal as if I was insulting her. When I asked for her managers name and the number to the restaurant she told me I couldn't have that information. She was very disrespectful, her customer service was very poor. The cook offered to add lettuce or sauce but I declined, my food was now cold and I didn't want to chance anything being done to my food. I feel like I was ripped off, don't...

I’ve visited this location a few times since it opened, and while the food has never been great (small portions, bland flavor, and stingy with extras like napkins), I’ve still had a few decent experiences thanks to some friendly staff. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a different story. The woman working the front, Bianca, had a noticeably unpleasant attitude and made unnecessary, rude remarks. It was enough to make the whole experience uncomfortable. I’ve never had issues like this at the Wilson Way location — the service there has always been solid for years. Hopefully this location improves, but I’ll be sticking with the other one...

I really love this place, except tonight I was served a piece of approx 1 inch long metal bristle in my lengua plate. I know the business is new but the employees need to be retrained on how to clean the food prep equipment. My food was 5 star until I found the metal bristle that I could have choked on. I am not sure if I ever will go here again. I treat any object in my food as a sign to never return for reasons of protecting my own health. I'm so sad because you can get food 24 hours and I have to go elsewhere. Perhaps I'll go back in 5 years if the business is...
