I took my dad here yesterday November 25,for breakfast as I've been a long time, loyal customer of kitchen little when they were located on Greenmanville Ave ...on the east mystic side of town...the experience was always exceptional, I personally knew the owner, always outgoing, fantasic personality, extremely friendly, fantastic quality of foods ,large menu with great daily home made specials, did I mention....quality was outstanding always , and always worth the wait time as the original kitchen little was small and always had large crowds waiting because of the high quality foods, friendly staff, well know by the locals, family owned by Flo...who has passed away unfortunately way to soon...well,yesterday I arrived with my dad at 10:05 am we were seated within a couple minutes...restaurant was half full so steady...not crazy busy with line out the door...however, it took about 15 minutes to get our coffee, waitress wasn't friendly, didn't smile, kind of abrupt with us...it took another 13 minutes for her to come back to take our order:( My dad ordered eggs benedict with ham and home fries and I ordered a 3 egg omelet with tomatoes, asparagus, mushrooms, spinach, with Swiss cheese, home fries, and wheat toast...breakfast didn't arrive to our table for 34 minutes later...my omelet was cold,no favor and definitely wasn't 3 egg omelet, which also only had very little veggies inside of omelet which did I mention was cold...home fries were all burnt, hard and crusty and also cold, finally my wheat toast was dark black ......burnt..".big time"...also cold...I couldn't believe that someone in the kitchen would even send this out for consumption...let alone the waitress seeing my dark black toast and burnt crusty home fries...my Dad meal wasn't as terrible as mine he just had the 2 eggs benedict with ham in it must of been small to medium poached eggs at best...tiny pieces of ham with cold Holliday sauce ontop... On English muffin that was burnt and like a rock..he had a had time cutting into this...his home fries were also burnt and cold...they must of been out the griddle from 6:00 am opening as they were burnt ,hard, and crusty:( I'm not enjoying writing this review but I feel that I must as this was a horrible experience with kitchen little from start to finish....this restaurant is nothing like the original owner "Flo" Had for decades that became all the locals favorite breakfast place:) So extremely disappointed with the total experience..I wish I could give them a zero in every category as this could of all be avoided with alittle integrity with the entire staff at kitchen little ...the saying on the waitress tee shirts saying "no bad days" which are for sale...what a joke....it wasn't a bad day til I took my 89 year old father to kitchen little for breakfast!! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and won't be ever returning!!!

Waited over 1 and 1/2 hours for a table for 7 and we watched as many, many parties of 2, 3, and 4 were taken before us even though we had arrived long before most & patiently waited outside in the chilly rain to hear the woman shouting the party names from an above balcony which was hard to hear.  We were in good company and had the pleasure of seeing some of the USAs finest in their pristine and perfect uniforms waiting outside unsheltered in the rain also. Once inside they were sold out of some things. The menu was vast maybe too vast. I enjoyed my mango smoothie and my #12. My only complaint with my meal was that the bottom of my omelet or hashbrowns was very burnt and gave a lingering bad taste in my mouth and I did see the coffee mugs were chipped. Im not that adventurous with my breakfast food bacon eggs and toast but perhaps others may enjoy the selction more than I. Also, if you want your own food on your own plate specify or they may serve them together family style. So if you don't like foods to touch others you didnt order, it may bother you. The restaurant really is not equipped for parties bigger than 4 especially with small tables and large plates. Our party of 7 was split and seated apart 2 of us at a table for 2 and 5 of us at a table for 4. Our bill for 7 with some mimosas was $240 if the wait weren't so long the other things probably would have been overlooked.  A more accurate estimate of wait time is necessary without the stalling tactics. Also although the staff seemed friendly our first waitress joked about not being able to remember all our drinks without writing them down and she would come back and make another trip since she didn't have a pen or paper. Also, it may be helpful to only bring tap water if requeated seemed to cause delay and overcrowded the tables and waitress verbally huffed when I told her I didn't want it and asked her to take it for more space. She seemed annoyed even though I was polite and said thank you anyway, please and thank you. Then a second more experienced waitress came and took our order she said they made adjustments to any menu item but then seemed annoyed when we asked questions or made adjustments and even playfully insulted us. My only other suggestion would be for the waitress not to conclude our experience by asking us if it was worth the long wait worth it before handing us the check especially after waiting nearly 2 hours in the wind and rain for eggs pancakes waffles toast OJ and coffee and not being able to sit together as a family on our mothers 70th birthday...

HORRIFYING, health department should be aware!! My family and I were there this morning after a funeral(8 of us) were seated at a table made for 6. I ordered the pancake sandwich and asked for the pancakes separate from the eggs and bacon. When our order came I was given 2 pancakes with bacon and cheese inside the pancakes (sandwich style) the waiter was ok sending back to fix the mistake I was given 2 more pancakes immediately. My daughter had ordered an order of pancakes and a side of sausage when her order came she was buttering her pancakes and lifted the pancake to find cheese had been scraped off. We notified the owner immediately he tried denying until we showed him the scraped cheese. SO the kitchen had taken the pancakes I had TOUCHED several times and sent back they RESERVED it to another customer AFTER scraping. We were and still are horrified by this! There was numerous issues with our orders we ordered a grilled blueberry muffin but we received a cold one (refrigerated even) we were charged for items we didn't get etc. The list goes on and on. But the fact that the kitchen reserved a dish that was touched by a customer was disgusting. I can't help but think what else they are reserving and to who!!!! I assume the kitchen figured my daughter would slather her pancakes with syrup n not notice. But that doesnt make it ok. Even though it was reserved to my child it DOESN'T...

I used to eat here back in the 90s often when it was at the original location on Greenmanville Ave. Recently had the opportunity to go back (I've moved out of state) and it just wasn't the same. Had the scrambled eggs with crab and cream cheese with a side of sausage, wheat toast, and hollandaise sauce. My daughter had the eggs over easy with a side of sausage and a fruit cup. The fruit cup was quite disappointing, a few strawberry slices and mostly blueberries (not worth it). Our meals were average, nothing spectacular like I remembered. As you can see from the pictures, they were not visually appealing. Her hot chocolate was pretty though! I had a glass of OJ. Didn't taste like freshly squeezed, but can't confirm whether it was or not. Nice, secluded location with plenty of parking. It was around 10am so not extremely busy but a good amount of customers for just 2 waitstaff. Took a little while to take our order, but that seems to be an issue everywhere post pandemic so we understood. Overall, it was acceptable, but would definitely not be my first choice as it once was.

Came here on a Monday for breakfast on Presidents’ Day. It was really busy and there was a wait. They kept running out of items from the specials/menu. 🦋Great local and tourist breakfast spot. 🦋 the highlight item was the avocado and tomato Benedict. It was perfect. Truly delicious and recommend. 🦋 my mocha was ok (made with powdered hot chocolate) 🦋 my partner got the red velvet pancakes. The cream cheese drizzle was amazing. But wasn’t crazy about the pancakes. 🦋 the special pierogis with the Buffalo sauce…was ok…I think it was overcooked (I’ve been to Poland, and have Polish friends and definitely know what good pierogis taste like) the dumplings were nothing special, just the sauce. 🦋 came here in middle of winter- so it was cold to wait and or to enjoy the views… the views of the bay were blocked by all the large boats parked and wrapped. -place is very tight inside. -lastly… they do need to get new cups for drinking water… that plastic was all chipped off all… Overall I do recommend, especially for the Benedict! And for the views not on a winter day
