Been coming to the area for many years stayed in places but boy we were blown away but our stay at Harbor View Landing. From the time I reached out to the establishment due to some questions we had, the response was immediate with all answered with satisfaction and great accuracy. | We stayed in the Block Island Cottage and boy if u want Views of the Mystic River they’re incredible. As soon as we opened the door to the cottage just knew this was going to be a memorable experience for us and it did not disappoint, the place was immaculate with great extras for your use. We have been looking to purchase a home on the water in this area and it was well out of our price range but for this short time we felt like this was a home and not a Rental which speaks out for how this place is designed. To us this was like a retreat there was so much to do right on the property. They have great gathering common spaces with 2 fire pits with chairs to just chill and have great interaction with family and friends. They have complimentary Bikes, Kayaks , lawn and board games. We had plans to do things in the Mystic Area but we were very satisfied just to stay on the property and just sit on the porch and watch the boats pass by. This is what makes this establishment so special u can just relax on the property and be satisfied which we were. This checks all boxes for family or friends wanting to spend time together for anything from a family reunion ,birthday or just and a single getaway . You have your own place and privacy and then just open your sliding glass doors and be in all the action. They also have a tent set up were people can also gather from the elements such as rain or just to block the sun. This area is also designed for weddings and special gatherings. I can’t say enough about the potential and possibilities the Harbor Landing has for your needs to create a lot of one of a kind memories. You have the option to rent a cottage or 2 captains homes which could be rented as one or two family units.|From the time we pulled on the property we were amazed on the amount and area this establishment was set on. The Flowers and pots were incredible and the grass was flawless. | The design of this place was well done how all building are spaced with Water views. When booking u have a few options, find what works for your needs we enjoyed the Cottage it was like home on the water. So from just an overnight to get away to a few days with family and friend this is an incredible experience waiting to to created. |We will be regulars now at this establishment from this point on this is a one-of a kind place to stay. Thanks to all staff who work at Harbor View Landing the establishment speaks for it self with the quality and care of grounds and the sleep quarters . Thanks DEB for getting back to me so quickly after our Email and answering the questions we had. || We will see you very soon. Evelyn and Richard ( Long Island...

First of all, if you haven't been to Mystic, you ought to go cause it's one of the most charming towns in New England.
My partner and I just spent 4 glorious days at the Block Island Cottage, in Mystic, in the middle of winter. We felt as if we had an entire 'estate' to ourselves!
The view of the water and sun changed hourly. We were memorized and found it difficult to do much else, as we sat on the sofa and felt so blessed to be able to dial in to nature this way. Being in such a beautiful setting right on the water any time of year is beyond words. But being HERE, on the water, was special. This property is special, period. We had to stay another day and wished we could stay longer! Exceptionally clean, hi-tech, yet cozy. Our hosts (hostesses) were phenomenal -- attentive and thoughtful. Bottle of wine and a few bottles of water to welcome us. A binder filled with recommendations of things to do, eateries, etc. Obviously, their faves. (Spot on!)
So. Go during the off-season, when it's chilly and invigorating. You won't believe this gem and what it will do for your soul and your spirit.
Thank you, ladies.
We fell in love with your place!!
We'll be back for sure!
(BTW, the heater in the bathroom is on a motion detector. All you have to do is walk in...! Quite a selection of coffee to choose from too. Bed and bedding--- so sooooooo comfortable - we felt like it 'hugged' us! Yikes!! I could go on and on.
Last thing - we jumped on the Port Jefferson Ferry, (as we're from Long Island), and it took us about an hour or so to drive to the cottage once we got to Bridgeport.
Just do it. We did....spur of the moment.
(If you have a chance, go to Milestone for dinner. Chicken was rockin'! Ask Peter, the proprietor, and tell him Debbie and Ralph from Long Island sent you.
Go for it. Harbor View Landing (really shouldn't matter much which cottage you stay in unless you need space for more than 2). And maybe tell Deb that we sent you. Couldn't...
Read moreHarbor View Landing sits on a lovely piece of waterside property with a stunning view of Mystic River. The cottages and main house are furnished with seaside elegant taste. In room refrigerator, microwave and Expresso maker. We were pleased to be welcomed by the owners Hannah and Matt, who were always just a quick call/text away. There is lots to do and see in Mystic and surrounding towns. Just google it! Thursday night football at Friar Tuck’s Tavern was bustling with good eats and crowd. Argia Daysail 2 hour schooner cruise had a fun and good n Informative crew. Stopped at BD Cider Mill ( Open September through December ) and got to see the side or being pressed live! Yummy apple everything! I recommend the cider donuts! Mystic Knotworks had some really cool stuff. Of course having to grab a slice of pizza from “Mystic Pizza”. Julia Roberts was a no-show. Lots of other things to do. Most fun was just chilling and relaxing on our deck Adirondack chairs sipping some beverages and building a fire pit fire and relaxing to the sound of waves and nature. Be prepared for the occasional passing by of the Amtrak train line. Wasn’t bothersome to us at all. Didn’t hear at all during the night time when sleeping. Would be a great venue for a outdoor wedding ceremony. We would...
