Malcuit's Tavern — Restaurant in Strasburg

We have been coming to the steakhouse for years and every time it has been absolutely wonderful until this last Saturday night. We were a party of six and we arrived at 5:30 PM. We were seated promptly and seem to have a good waitress which turned out not to be the case. Our bread and salad’s arrived promptly, after that things got a little dicey.

Baked potatoes came with incorrect or missing toppings, mushrooms for steaks were forgotten, and water refills were slow coming as she didn’t return.

While our steaks all were done properly and were VERY delicious as always, one of us had ordered the pork chops. For whatever reason the pork chops didn’t get submitted on the order so, she promised a free dessert (which was never offered or delivered) and then the waitress showed up not five minutes later with the two porkchops which were barely seared and completely raw in the center! Needless to say the porkchops were sent back and since everyone now was almost finished we asked to have them taken off the bill.

When the bills arrived all 3 of them were incorrect ! AN Extra steak was on one, two glasses of wine that were never ordered were on another, and the person who only got a side order of spaghetti AND NO PORKCHOPS got charged for that spaghetti are you kidding me ??!!!!

Really cool place and our waitress was nice. She gave my beer to my significant other and forgot his. Ok. Whatever ..no biggy. Get our salads and it's just generic bagged salad with a beet, half a hard boiled egg and 2 hungs of swiss? The egg was wet...like...really wet and tasted like a gym sock!? Ok....so the steaks.....he got a 34$ Porterhouse that was overcooked and saturated with what tasted like paprika and a weird tasting oil. I got the ribeye which was perfectly cooked but it tasted really weird. I don't know what seasoning or oil they use but I really don't care for it. I had a side of linguine with a meatball. The meatball was just a generic frozen bag meatball :( the sauce was great tho! The noodles were cold and overly cooked. He got the mushrooms and they were sweet? Was really weird. The silver dollar potatoes were cold and floppy :( Oh and the pickle on the hot plate next to the steaks is not a great idea. Hot pickles are kinda gross and he hates pickles. We didn't know they did that or else we would have said to leave them out. Over all it was an expensive disappointment. We hardly ever come to that area so I know we...

Wish I could give it a -100. HORRIBLE. The staff is so disrespectful. Walked by us for 10 min while all looking at us. 2 of the staff members finally came up and was all up in my face about having a reservation. Saying we’re were going to be waiting “awhile” all rude and walked off. Never saw her again. Then after getting seated without a reservation? We waited on our drinks for another 10 which is fine. But after that they never checked on us. 40 min goes by and I FINALLY ask another waitress to please give us our check since we haven’t seen our waitress or our food while everyone around us, who came in AFTER us, was all given their food. We just ordered 2 appetizers and a burger? Like 40 min, no check up, and then I have to speak up to even get someone to talk to me? And then she made excuses and walked off. Made us pay for the whole bill, boxed our food, and we left. No sorry or anything. This places staff needs a whole new...
