I have been here twice, the first in the fall and the second in February 2024. In the fall the service was okay although I had a weird dish with pumpkin and shrimp. Most of us thought our food was good but this dish was a bit strange. When we returned recently for Stratford restaurant week we liked our food well enough but had a bad experience with the service. We arrived and were handed two menus but neither were the restaurant week menu. We were told you had to ask specifically do the restaurant week menu which seemed odd compared to other restaurant week specials I have been to. We got the restaurant week menu but the price nor the specifics of the deal were on the menu. I noticed they had a pasta dish with pineapple which I didn’t get but I saw some other customers get it and it seemed they picked around the dish. Toward the end of our meal the table next two us had a physical gift card they bought directly from the restaurant and the waiter told them they couldn’t accept it because they couldn’t see the numbers on the card. The table was annoyed since they bought the physical card from the restaurant itself and the waiter did not accept the card. When it came our time to pay we also had a gift card, this time it was digital so should have had no trouble reading the code. We were told since we ordered the restaurant week menu we couldn’t use our gift card. This made no sense to us as a gift card is not a coupon and should be as good as money. They told us to use it next time but honestly the service makes it so we are not totally sure we want to go back. It seems they will use any excuse to not let people use their gift cards and steal their money. There is no reason people shouldn’t be able to use a gift card purchased directly from the website or the restaurant. If there is a reason they are not allowed to use it then it should be part of the listing of the price. We ending up paying over $100 for two people after already having spent this much there for a gift card. Tread with caution!
Edit: Updating that my partner and I both got sick the night after eating here. Besides eating here we ate the same things as the day prior so we are assuming it was something here that made us sick. Not sure if it was actual food poisoning or the amount of oil and fats used on the food that...

To start we ordered Calamari, Meatballs, and the Brussel sprout tower. WOW! What a great start everything was fresh and flavorful. My favorite was the meatball dish over mashed polenta.
Next our main course arrived after some thoughtful suggestions from our waiter. The birthday girls had a Lamb Ossobuko and Lobster Ravioli. While I enjoyed a pasta special dish with shrimp and mushrooms in a grand mariner reduction sauce, Nick had chicken napoleon with a gorgonzola sauce. All 4 dishes were simply amazing, so flavorful, Lamb was tender, pasta was fresh we skipped fancy drinks and went right for dessert!
