I stopped in at 8:43 a.m., for a latte and donuts. I had a coupon for a free latte; the cashier scanned my rewards membership on my phone, the coupon and rang up my donut. The sandwich maker's seemed to be moving pretty quick; however, the worker (name tag, Michael) was moving in slow motion with no sense of urgency! My number was 279 and they were already in the 300's. I decided to ask the person preparing the drinks, Michael if he had my order number. He said, no, I'm working on 307 right now. I went back to the cashier's register and she was not at her station. Two customers formed behind me and the young cashier said, "I will be right with you Hon." Looks like she was preparing a pick up order at the self checkout register. Once she came over, I explained my situation with the drink and that the attendant, Michael did not have my order. She seemed puzzled and said, "she wasn't sure what happened and did I want a refund (for my free drink)?" I had now been in Wawa's for 20 minutes for a drink. I said, just let me grab a coffee and we will call it even. The cashier agreed. As a courtesy, I went back to the drink area to let Michael know, and he said, "I am working on 279 now. I went back to the cashier to inform her and she said, the numbers were coming out strange for some reason. Shortly after that, Michael left and went into the bathroom; still no drink. At this point, I was over the drink and left. This location just opened, lack of experience and the customer service that I experienced is poor. The worker preparing the drinks, was impolite and had zero sense of urgency. I'm sure they will get it together and hopefully, very soon. I may try this location in a few months, but no time soon, unless it's a self checkout out situation. The place was not crowded and the sandwich maker's seemed to be pressing on. The guy preparing the drinks stating, "I'm working on (my order #) 279 now" and then walking off to the bathroom didn't set well with me. I certainly didn't want anything he was going to prepare at that point, after my unpleasant...
Read moreI am a big Wawa fan, a customer since the late 70’s in the Delaware Valley. Unfortunately, the farther south you go, folks who work for Wawa don’t understand the ‘culture’. On 7/20/25 around noon, I stopped to get some coffee and other items. THEY HAD NO COLOMBIAN COFFEE! When I asked about, the person who was making the specialty drinks looked at me and practically said nothing except to give me an unpleasant look. Ok, so I tried to get another flavor. ALL OF THE COFFEE URNS WERE EMPTY!! What in the world?? Again, I said to the aforementioned person that they were empty. Not only did she not say anything, she looked at me as to say “so, what do you want me to do?” and continued mixing the drinks. Horrible service!! I should have went to the Godwin Boulevard location. At least I could have gotten the coffee I wanted and much...
Read moreThe staff members here are always helpful, friendly and efficient. There was a woman who worked here named Marie who was always friendly, upbeat, and caring. She was more than just a store employee, she was a friend to all.
Horribly, about 3 years ago, Marie's life was senselessly ended. Her loss is still felt in the community. A local church even payed for a bronze plaque in Marie's memory, which was hung in the store. Recently I learned that one of the managers was "tired of it" and it was taken down.
This is shameful. It's disrespectful to a wonderful woman, to the church who paid for the plaque, and to the employees who still miss her every day.
This is a HORRIBLE way for Wawa management to treat it's employees, customers, and surrounding community. Do better, Wawa. We want you to truly have a heart for...
