Voluntarily closed recently due to a complaint and then inspection by the board of health....

Complaint: Patrons and workers observed mice running around during operation.

Findings: During the inspection live ants were seen in front of make line on floor. There were sticky traps on the floor with cockroaches and on the shelf behind the oven and a live roach was on the sticky trap behind the slicer. A live roach was seen crawling down the side of the proofer. Mice droppings were seen under the hand sink storage area. No live mice were seen at time of inspection.

Many areas under equipment has dust, dirt, and food debris. This includes behind the oven, slicer, under the front make line, under all shelving units in dry storage, under prep areas, and sinks.

The front areas with equipment have a gap at bottom where they meet the wall. Cabinet under hand sink has gap at back which can allow mice to crawl up and over. Pop crates under dry storage racks should be removed to allow for easy cleaning. Pop station is difficult to reach drain for proper cleaning.

Bugs Bee Gone is the pest control company and was out on 3-5, 3-26 mice activity treatment done, and 4-2 ant treatment done.

Facility is located next to a Bellstores which is being remodeled. Workers have not seen any pest activity in their areas but gaps were noted at the front and back door.

Manager has voluntarily closed and will throw away exposed bread and put away make table food into the cooler. The facility will need to due a thorough cleaning prior to opening again. I hadn't been in a while so I thought I would try a wrap. This particular Subway is attached to a gas station that is having some construction done on the exterior. I ordered the Philly wrap with pepper jack cheese, onion, lettuce and spinach with Southwest sauce. It cost 12.00 and off I went to work. I ate the wrap and about 2 hours later I got very blotted and uncomfortable. I went to the bathroom and it was not pretty for the rest of the night and early morning. Feeling week I went to work and called Subway to let them know about what happened and basically the manager did not care. He did not ask any questions just stated it takes 3 people to complain before they do anything. He was very dismissive and unprofessional. I call to tell you about me getting sick from from so called fresh food and you belittle me with your condescending attitude. It is safe to say that I will not be going there again and will let everyone...

I thought I was done having to explain to the workers that a 6 inch BLT sub is made with 4 pieces of bacon & a 12 inch is made with 8 pieces. I was told that a 6 inch BLT has 2 pieces of bacon on it. That would be incorrect! That is if you add bacon to a sub it is 2 pieces. When the bacon is the only meat on the sub it is 4 pieces on the 6 inch. Luckily she didn't charge me, even though I asked for double bacon & she assumed she gave it to me by giving me 4 pieces for my 6 inch & 8 pieces on my 12 inch which should be the norm. The workers apparently need to be schooled on what goes on...
