Pepperoni Pioneers: Buffalo's Best Bites Now Baking in Texas!
Stepping into Cup N Char Buffalo NY Pizza in Richmond, Texas, was like walking into a fusion of past and present. Having spent over 15 years in Buffalo, NY, I was thrilled to see a contemporary, sparkling clean restaurant that exuded the soul and flavor of Western New York.
The interior of Cup N Char is a delightful blend of modern design and comforting familiarity. Its spotless surroundings, carefully attended to, only serve to enhance the dining experience. The thoughtfulness put into maintaining a clean, inviting environment is just another testament to the commitment and pride the team takes in their service.
Now, onto the star of the show - the food! We relished in a fantastic cheese and pepperoni pizza and a one-of-a-kind chicken wing pizza. The crust was just the right amount of fluffy, capable of upholding a generous layer of toppings. The sauce was a harmonious mix of tangy, sweet, and savory that masterfully balanced the robust flavors. The cheese was perfectly melted and thoughtfully proportioned to compliment the other ingredients.
The chicken wing pizza was a standout. Tender, flavorful chicken was thoughtfully incorporated into the pizza, creating an innovative and memorable taste profile. And then there was the chicken finger sub - a nostalgic reminder of Western New York, rarely found in Houston, but executed perfectly here.
What elevated our experience was the owner's exceptional hospitality. He showed genuine care, ensuring we were more than satisfied with every aspect of our visit. His evident passion for serving high-quality food echoed in every bite.
In conclusion, Cup N Char Buffalo NY Pizza serves up a slice of Buffalo right here in Texas within its modern and spotless premises. This establishment successfully intertwines the comfort of traditional cuisine with the freshness of a clean, contemporary environment. Whether you're reminiscing about your days in Western New York or keen on trying a new culinary delight, this is a pizzeria you wouldn't want to miss. Read moreIf you haven't tried Cup & Char--you should. I'm not a food snob, per say. Let's just say I like good food...as I'm sure we all do. Our palettes are just different. That said, let me add to all the glowing reviews: The pizza, for us, is hands down, on a very short list, one of THE best we've ever eaten. Although the menu showcases some great choices, I encourage you to build your own--from the cheese pizza up. The large feeds my family of 5 comfortably. Two larges can feed 10 when everyone is home. Imagine what the extra large can do. Red sauce and I are not friends. However, I will take whatever enzyme or supplement I need so I can enjoy this pizza. The sauce isn't overwhelming, and It. Tastes. Wonderful. The nice people here call me when they notice I've missed something in my order or ordered something I usually don't or if there is a change in the pickup time. Coming to Texas from a small town where I was able to build relationships, I very genuinely appreciate this effort. We've never experienced a bad order from here. We always take home a big box of happiness. I'm not a fan of "hit and miss" food establishments. I completely believe Cup and Char is winning in this area because they have adults making the delicious pizza in our happy boxes
Read moreOk everyone knows how we like to travel the states to try new places here is one of them a non chain pizza place...here we go. The gentleman at the counter was super nice when I arrived to pick up our to go order and take back to the hotel. They had no problem adding their fried dough to the order last minute and had them cooked quick! Let's start with the pizza i am very disappointed at how little sauce is on the meat lovers pizza and even more disappointed at the extra sauce in the tiny cup they gave me. I'm not sure if I was charged or not but if I was I would drop the rating to 2 stars so I am not looking at my receipt. The pizza is not traditional Buffalo N.Y. pizza more like a mid western take on a classic deep dish pan pizza. The toppings are ok nothing special I can honestly compare this pizza to Pizza Hut only slightly better with about a third the grease in the box. The cheesy bread is good but that's hard to mess up. With the amount of sticks you get with the amount of dipping sauce is pathetic to say the least, esspecially since the sauce is AMAZING! The fried dough is a old favorite of mine we used to make as a kid so it's brought back good memories. Here is where's the 4 stars come from ( would have been 3 stars but the wings OMG ) the wings are hands down the best in Sugarland/Richmond area. We got the wings plain but with dipping sauce the blue cheese dressing is amazing! I don't yet know what they cook these wings in yet but I'll figure it out they are that good! Again you do NOT get enough sauce for anything they serve please up your game with the sauce amounts. When the word gets out how good these wings are you are going to need to open a larger location. Pizza is OK but I can have pizza hut deliver to the hotel instead of driving 25 minutes. ( we got the hotel far from home just try this place the wings did not disappoint ). I am not sure i will drive this far again for this pizza but if I am in town again I will stop here for the wings they are sooo good. This is a must visit if you are in the area and a better place for pizza if you live close by. A must try location at least one time...
