As a customer, I did enjoy taking my son to the play area. The food is good. However, there's an overload of employees that stare a lot while I am eating, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. Blanca, the hiring manager, is unprofessional. I called someone yesterday to check on the status of my application. A lady asked me if I worked with this company before and I said yes I have experience at a location in Katy. The person asked what was my availability and I told her I'm interested in morning shifts 6:30am-2pm or 7am-3pm because of my son's schedule. The lady responded that she wanted a morning person and invited me for an interview around 1:30pm today, 08/23/23. I said great thanks and that I'd be there. She said ask for Blanca the manager. Today I went in around 1:20pm and asked for the hiring manager. She seemed dismissive of me from the start and did not greet me as I greeted everyone when I first walked towards the counter. I asked one of the nice employees for someone named Blanca, who told me to be there at 1:30pm for an interview opportunity. Blanca walked towards the glass window inside and asked who I was and why I was there. I politely told her my name and about the phone call. She looked me up and down, then asked if I was pregnant. I said yes. She said oh no, we don't hire pregnant women. As if I didn't feel discriminated enough, I requested corporate's number and she denied. After mentioning my rights of equal opportunity and denial of a simple 1 minute interview unprofessionally in front of her peers, she gave me a false number. I understand if you don't want to hire a pregnant woman, but there's a way to sugarcoat it behind closed doors. She looked me up and down in front of many women and said no ma'am. This could have been handled differently. As I became upset on her lack of management skills and professionalism, I heard women speaking in Spanish. They used the word "chinita" which is a word to describe a woman of asian ethnicity. They were laughing and giggling at me. I am half Mexican and half Vietnamese. Read moreAbsolutely disgraceful service experienced as I stopped at this location with my little boy. There was a long slow line at the drive-thru, so we got out of line and walked inside. As we walked into the store, there were 3 or 4 employees standing at the counter fidgeting with something at the counter. We stood at the counter and waited patiently, but neither of the employees acknowledged us or waited on us. As I was about to leave after being ignored another large black female walked to the counter and asked my little boy if he was ready to order. I was insulted that we were ignored for so long and said yes we were ready when we walked in. Note: there were no other customers at the counter but us, so there was no reason for us to be made to just wait at that counter with all of those employees there. Well my comment set off the large black female(sorry don't know her name, no one wore name tags.) She began being rude and arguing with me and would not stop. Then she walked away without taking my little boy's order and continued to fuss at or about me. This was too much to endure to just get a burger and fries. Neither of the employees was courteous enough to apologize for ignoring us or for the insults displayed by the arguing female. If I was as discourteous and unprofessional as the employees there I would not wear a name tag either.
