Los Ponchos Mexican Grill Sulphur La — Restaurant in Sulphur

I usually love Mexican, any kind ! Today was not great for Los ponchos. We ordered a large queso (which was delicious with the salsa and bean dip they serve). We also ordered the chicken flautas, macho quesadillas and Los ponchos dip . The flautas were super dry and has ZERO Seasoning to the chicken. 1 out of 5 stars. The macho quesadilla was 2 large quesadillas cut into 4 strips each to serve a few people. I shared with my 2 little boys. There was plenty but it wasn't very flavorful, and it was extremely greasy. The Los ponchos dip my brother ordered looked good but it had a strange taste, bitter . We loaded our food in containers to go and left with a $65 bill (without tip included) for mediocre at best food in our bellies. The service was great, our waitress kept drinks full and out food came out quickly. 2 out if 5 stars overall for today.

Update : we went today for lunch and it was super fast and delicious 😋...

I would love to give this place 5 stars because of the food mainly. Our waitress was a little slow with the drinks but she was accommodating and was friendly. Then came time to pay for the meal and thats when all hell broke loose. The girl at the register swiped my card and their system through an error code or something and she went to swipe my card again but I had gotten an alert from my app that a purchase was made at the restaurant. So I told her to please not swipe my card again cause I already paid and she wasn't trying to hear that. So I showed her on my phone where it showed that the money was withdrawn and for what. She would not give my card back to me and threatened me with the cops!! After about 15 more hair raising minutes they finally decided to take my information and give my card back.... But hey the food was...

I ordered through the WaitrApp and am extremely disappointed. All of my food was delivered spilled and jammed in three small bags causing the food to be squished and come out of the containers. All of our food was cold, a chunk of our order was missing because they did not pay attention to the online order and the “bags of chips” that came with our cheese dip were too small to share among the 5 adults and 3 children let alone 2 adults. When I called to inform them that a portion of my order was missing it took 2 people to figure out what happened and only gave me the option to refund or pick them up myself which completely voids the point of having it delivered to me In the first place. I have eaten at the Los Ponchos near Moss Bluff and loved their food but I will not be ordering from this location or going there...
