Fiesta Mexicana — Restaurant in Summit Township

WORST TREATMENT EVER AT CASA RODRIGUEZ TODAY! And it is sad to say because the food has been good in past visits however, with wait staff like this as soon as you walk in no one will make it to the table to taste the food! Picked husband up from his work to go to lunch today. We had not been to Casa Rodriguez in a while to know their new hours. As soon as we walked in ( somewhere around 2:40 p.m., maybe?) a waitress looks at us and says "We already closed at 3 you can come back at 5.) So with a slightly confused look on our faces we say "O.K" and start walking out. YES... all we said was "O.K!" She then starts yelling to us in a very nasty tone "I don't know what is so HARD to understand about that!" To which I respond "First of all all we said was O.k. so there is no need to be rude to customers and get an attitude when what you said was just confusing and we also just didn't know you closed at 3". She proceeds to follow me outside and as I'm standing in the parking lot YELLS in front of other customers also in the parking lot "I have the right to refuse service you can leave! " This is now funny to me because I'm in the parking lot on my way to my car at this point. So I laugh and say "I'm already leaving. You already refused service!" Lol... She says "Well do not come back at 5!" I laughed again getting into my car and said "With your attitude, did you really think I would?" She says "Good. Maybe go home and take some Xanax or something. " And ran inside! .... O.K.... first off ... if you followed closely ... It was not even 3 yet. And she said come back at 5. Not knowing new hours ofcourse I'm confused. You're already closed AT 3 BEFORE 3? Come back at 5? WHY? YOU CLOSE AT 3! Lol ... So yes I say O.K. with a confused look. Second...You practice Horrible customer service to follow ANY patron outside to continue to argue with them. Again showing ignorance stating you can refuse service and to leave WHEN IM ALREADY OUTSIDE LEAVING! THEN to make a remark to a CUSTOMER to go home and take Xanax when YOU are the one acting LOCO!! I do not care how good the food is ... with this kind of wait staff I will never go back. Great food, insulting, unprofessional service still equals HORRIBLE BUSINESS for anyone with any self respect! - Los Tres got my money today! And Tonito's will from here on out. I have never once been to a restaurant in this town with an owner as disrespectful as this one. Today my husband and I decided to order pickup for lunch, after viewing there menu I was intrigued to try it. We picked up our order and began eating in the car. We ordered 3 tacos, cheese sauce, rice and 2 tamales. The tamales were in a box and still in there corn husk. They were hard as a rock and greasy. As one who eats Mexican food regularly. We personally know what a tamale should look like. We argued over going in and trying to get fresh tamales. So we did due to the fact they also didn't give us the 3.25 cent pop we paid for. As we went in the waiter was great and told us to wait. As we waited the owner walked thru the bar to the kitchen and then walked out of the kitchen and stood in front of us. His first words were "did you even try it" and my husband said would you eat that. And that began a whole fued where the owner said that is how they are made. And he began telling us to leave and that he was calling the cops. Instead of this owner even attempting to fix our order. He had a bad attitude from the start. I am in disbelief that an owner of a restaurant, which by the was completely empty at 1130 lunch time, would act in a fashion like this for customers that have never been there. Ordered take out from here a few times and really enjoyed the food! I thought dining in could only be better, right? WRONG. Our server was a younger girl who was very rude and clearly wanted to be anywhere but at work. She did not smile once, and was very rude when we had questions and wanted to add things onto our order. She seemed annoyed by the fact we brought two kids in with us and really made us feel like we were unwanted. We watched the other waiter when he associated with his tables and he was very kind and smiling. TWO times we dined in and had the same service from the same girl and were very disappointed. No one with that much of an attitude should work a customer service job, let alone be the face of a restaraunt. Being a server myself, I was extra annoyed with her negative energy and would of been willing to tip very well if just a little effort was shown. We sat over in the corner by the emergency exit door the second time, and we were very grossed out when we seen two cockroaches crawling on the window sill/up the wall. There appeared to be a dumpster outside that door so maybe that is what attracted the bugs, but still disappointing and disgusting to consider they could be crawling all over the food and dishes at night 🤢 wont be coming back here any time soon, despite the good coupons and...
