Ziggy's Pizza Sunapee — Restaurant in Sunapee

Parents took me here for my 25th birthday. There was 8 of us with my wife kids and brother. First of all can the poor kids have some kind of selection. Everywhere we go chicken tenders, mac and cheese, hot dog, burger. Its a pizza place have all different slices they can choose from make it fun for them. Next my father wasnt a huge fan of having to go up and order now many places are like this mostly pizza places but if your new and your surrounded by many places who do service at your table try to wait on people. I agree with my father that its annoying because if u want to order a coffe after your meal or a beer you have to go back up wait i the long line and get what you want. Next and what ruined the experience for me. My 7 year old son asked for some bbq sauce for his chicken tenders and the lady who was bringing out our food literally told him it would be an additional 55 cents. Then i raised my voice and said seriously thats rediculous and they brought it for free. They had no idea how to accommodate my wife and i wanting alcoholic drinks at the counter where we ordered our food they sent us to the bar side where we met the only smiling good attitude employee. Whover the bar tender was did a good job. Also my calzone was good as was my brothers and oldest sons. Food is about the only thing good. We went to leave and there was a dog at one of the tables. I love dogs but its a "restaurant" c'mon seriously. I feel bad that my dad had to pay for the "birthday meal" for everyone and we all had such a bad experience. Lastly some people need more than 8 minutes in the restroom. I know yall are trying to save money with your upcharge foe bbq sauce and all but i couldn't see to wipe my bottom when the lights went out in the restroom. Luckily someone walked in while i was turning my phone light on. The worse dining experience with some oddly good flavors but...

Sorry- but not sorry... Our very first time there and in the area. The pizza was good(thats why it got 2 stars - otherwise it would have been way in the negative stars) we ordered slices to go AND where I am from, if you pick up your order- the tipping is NOT to be expected. I asked what they had for drinks and they pointed at the case that opens from BOTH sides and instead of them asking what we would like-she just pointed to the case and told me to get my own - ok, so I got my own drinks and carried out my own stuff - no big deal, right? -wrong...(btw: These slices werent cheap, either) What I was burned about was the look the two girls had between each other when I did not provide a tip for them. One even mouthed the word “no” while shaking her head. It was very immature and very rude. Lucky for them, I just smiled and walked away. I will never forget their faces though. Had I sat down to be waited on, it would have been a different story BUT I chose to not sit down and be waited on. We had a dog in the car and didnt want to leave her out there. Before anyone gets up in arms about wait staff needing tips-believe me-we are very aware of what service work is like. I dont need to be guilted (which I am not) into providing any extra of my hard earned money to someone who did exactly what someone at a fast food chain does(btw: many fast food chains get your drinks for you, still) Perhaps this is part of the reason why they have bad service complaints that got 1 star reviews. Someone needs to take these children aside and explain what it means to be professional and NOT to expect to be tipped when their service was only to point to where a customer gets their own stuff....

Wow!!! So so VERY nice to have a new pizza joint in the area. We drove two towns over and were so happy we did. Great variety and terrific flavor. Mac & Cheese pizza!! Yes it's a thing....... and that thing is tasty!!! Bring a pillow. Oh..... they also serve burgers, salad and huge hot dogs...... didn't notice as I was stuffing the Chicago deep dish into my mouth.

Update- What a shame today was....... Ordered a pizza and was told it would be ready in an hour. The craftsmans fair is on so I understood the hour wait times. I showed up 15 minutes early and watched the chaos. The "cooks".... all 3 of them care little and clearly have 1 speed.....SLOW. Even though order after order hung from the board they took the time to joke with each other and walk back and forth doing little. Half the tables were covered in dishes that have been there more than the half hour I've been waiting. Cooks are eating out of the topping tins and the counter person is texting while 4 people continue to wait for their orders. Oh.... my "hour" pizza is still not ready an hour and a half later and the counter girl refuses to make eye contact to avoid the inevitable how much longer question she deserves. So sad..... good food.... poor management and organization..... major...
