The Boro Cafe & Bakery — Restaurant in Superior Charter Township

I want to love the boro because the coffee and pizza are very good. But I have never had great service here. I have even ordered a cake from them and they weren’t very kind to us with some miscommunication, even promised a promotional code but never gave it to us, and then every time I order coffee to go to avoid the crowd, the service is never apologetic even when everything arrives late. We ordered two pizzas for the three of us. Each pizza is a little over $20.

Everyone agreed the mushroom pizza was by far superior with its savory sweet flavors of maple, rosemary, and mushroom. It also comes with this chili oil of sorts — we weren’t quite sure what it was but we did enjoy it on the pizza.

The margarita pizza was your classic margarita pizza with fresh basil.

The crust on both were perfectly crispy and airy and reminded me of a good New York style pizza.

Some of the best baked goods I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried many many). Get the pistachio cardamom bun, it’s incredible. They have specials/rotating items and those are always winners also. They had a savory croissant with a type of cheese custard that was unlike anything I’ve tried. So yummy. Will be returning anytime I’m in the area and maybe make extra excuses to go there.
