Starbucks — Restaurant in Surprise

I love this location! I used to go to the store on Bell Road, and the drinks were good, but the team always seemed miserable. This location is always filled with the laughter and chatter of the workers. They seem to know all the customers and include them in the conversation. It was fun to see an older customer laughing and engaging with the cashier, Hana. I asked if the older man was a friend of hers, and she said, "Of course! All our guests are my friends." I never heard someone call a customer a guest; it made me feel welcome. They have some new team members who occasionally mess up my drink, but they always make it right and provide a replacement. After years of avoiding spending time inside a Starbucks due to the often hectic atmosphere, I decided to give it another shot when my internet went down and I needed to get some work done. I have to say I was genuinely impressed. The vibe felt much more personal than I remembered. The use of reusable cups gave it an upscale, thoughtful touch, and I was pleasantly surprised when my drink was brought right to my table. The space was calm, and I actually felt productive and focused. It felt more like a cozy local coffee shop than a big chain, which was a welcome change. Very poor experience, staff is not knowledgeable on their own coffee products, staff members loudly criticizing the customer at the drive thru, couldn't take an order correctly at menu drive thru speaker. The gentleman was polite and seemed he realized his crew was being out of line and shut the window to mute their rude comments. Funny part of this, the person next to me in the car who's coffee was butchered is a GM of a different large coffee chain and was blown away by the poor service.
