Read moreI usually don’t write reviews but today going to this restaurant and not able to dine in because they were no longer accepting dine in customers because of their excuse of about to close. We got there well over an hour before closing and to be told to place a to go order just just really rubbed me the wrong way, especially since I had drove an hour to come eat at their establishment. Atlanta has been getting slack over the customer service and food not equating to prices that they charge and I understand why. I am native to Atlanta and this is unacceptable, even to be someone from here. This the primary reason why I am not a repeat customer to many of the black establishments that I have eating at in the past because of situations like this. It just comes to the point that you get tired of spending your hard earned money with people that feel like we need you and it not being the other way at around. My friend and I should have never left feeling like we did not matter. This was my first time going there and to me first impressions are everything. My parents always taught me that you have one shot to impress people the first time and so you have to always show people your best foot forward even when you are at your worst. Today, your restaurant showed me their worst so why would I want to try to come back and may or may not get the he same experience. There were at least 4 tables that was open and only one family outside waiting outside of our 2 party group. There was no reason we should have not been accommodated. We even asked to sit at the empty if we ordered to go and we were told by the host no and the most rude and non customer friendly tone. If you close dine in service at a certain time then it needs to be clearly marketed like that on your menus, door, and websites. No one wants to have to guess when a restaurant decides to stop taking their last seat and hope and pray they guess right if they pop up within their posted hours of 9:00am-3:00pm. If you stop taking your last dine in person over an hour before then say that so hungry people won’t wast their time and gas, like we did today. This is unacceptable as a restaurant on any level and it lets your customer know how much...
Read moreI like supporting restaurants that are owned by different ethnicities. This restaurant is beautiful and their presentation of their food is really nice. But I was really disappointed when I felt I was being treated unfairly and it felt VERY much racially driven.
I dined with a couple of friends, we all ordered an entree of course, my friends ordered coffee and I ordered water. I expected a glass of water but out cames a private labeled bottled water with a separate cup of ice. I was expecting a cup of ice water but whatever, guess they don’t do that. Well my friend asked for water in addition to her coffee and they brought her out the same, a bottle of water and a cup of ice. She asked for just tap water in a cup instead of a bottled water to be charged for and the server said they don’t have that. Well that’s fine and dandy but then I heard and saw a table a few tables down asking for two glasses of water and they’re served two glasses of water-no bottled water. I asked the server why the other table was able to receive two glasses of iced water when we were just told that they don’t do that. She looks over and says she would send the manager out. Well no one came, and then someone other than our server drops off the check as they pass by and doesn’t even say anything. I wasn’t going to waste my time asking what happened because it’s obvious why the manager never came out. I felt I was treated unfairly and differently from the table who received waters as they asked for and the difference was that we were a different ethnicity. It’s not the price of the water that bothers me, if they were consistent, I wouldn’t have said anything. But don’t lie and say that something isn’t available when it clearly is. And don’t treat people differently because of the color of their skin. That’s being racist and poor business practice. None of my friends nor I will be back, and we have let our other friends we’ve brought to Flavor rich of this behavior as it is highly offensive and...
