Jr's Seaside Tavern — Restaurant in Swansea

I've either lived ,hung out or frequented Ocean Grove/Swansea since the 80's. I grew up in Fall River but my Grandmother was originally from Swansea. This place is a hidden gem and the new owner (David) is kind,interesting, accommodating and generous. I met him for the first time last night but he has that (known him my whole life) vibe! Food so far is delicious,affordable and on point. The staff are mostly old school and excellent at what they do. The musical acts are always a plus! This place still has that local feel but has a new spin. The Portuguese cuisine is a definitely an added benefit! If your looking for that hole in the wall gem, great restaurant, or band bar, then you have to check out this spot. Jr's is that but more. Great little place down near the town beach in Swansea. My daughter in law loved the shrimp mozambique, came with a basket of news for dipping , she asked for a second basket to keep on dipping. My son had a plain burger and fries, that’s the way he likes it, grandkids had chicken tenders , came with 5 of them, i’m told they were very good, i had the steak bomb, nice and juicy and very soft roll. I always drive by here every Friday before I drop my son off to his mom's, and Everytime I'm like okay let's stop in. Well tonight we finally did and I'm happy to say it was worth it. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, I got the steak and cheese with tots. Yes they got tots and it made even better dinner. They also had a pinball machine so I had to go and play.
