Mr. Peeper's Ice Cream. — Restaurant in Swansea

The ice cream cakes are good. The service and communication are terrible.

My family has been getting birthday cakes here for a few years and there is always an issue. In early 2020, we showed up to pick up our cake to see the image was really messed up and were asked to pay full price. We were told their machine was having an issue, we were not told that none of their colors were working. We left, and they ended up chasing us out the door saying we could have it for free. I didn't want to leave a review then because we ended up taking the cake... but we almost ended up with no cake, because why should we pay full price for a mistake? (See attached photos of what we got vs what we ordered). I didn't go back in 2021 but foolishly decided to try again in 2022.

We called in advance to try and order a coffee supreme cake for March 9th. No personalization or image, just a basic cake. Told machine is broken but to call back on Monday the 7th. Called back on Monday, left a message, no one got back to us. We went in person Tuesday the 8th. They had cakes there, but said none were for sale and they were already spoken for. We asked to order a cake for tomorrow and they told us "no, because you have to order them in advance." We explained that we tried, but they told us to call back and then didn't get back to us...

They said their phone lines are weird and they don't usually get their messages. Yet again we are in a position of no cake....

Went to get a cake third one since June have been a regular . I went on Thursday morning and asked for help which the person was okay when I went to where she was standing she said please give me space because of covid well if she is that worried she should wear a mask and she was touching stuff without gloves so if I didn’t need that cake because I said I would get it the cake would have been left right there . I was so upset I forgot to ask to put the name on the cake but wasn’t asked either. I suggest to the owner mask and gloves for your employee’s if they are worried about covid and yes there was other people there but still mask up if you are not comfortable. And the cake tasted like the chocolate was sour I didn’t taste it but the host of they party put it...

Total RIP OFF! Ordered an eight inch custom 3 layer ice cream cake with fillings. Picked up the cake which had a note on it that due to the fillings, there were only 2 layers of ice cream. NEVER received a call informing me that the fillings were an issue or asked whether or not I would agree to 2 layers or want to remove a filling. The”cake maker,” made an independent decision,( BAD IDEA FOR BUSINESS)! In the end paid the same inflated price for less product!! If it wasn’t the actual day of the event, I would have left the cake behind. I do not recommend, there are better options! In addition, most bitter coffee ice cream ever tasted!
