Mother Hubbard's Bakery Deli — Restaurant in Swanton

My husband and I stopped to order a couple of sandwiches. The young woman wrote down our order and we waited. The sandwiches were two different sandwiches. We drove home and found both our orders were not made as we ordered. All the veggies he wanted were on mine and what I ordered was on his. Our bread was not even correct. I'm allergic to black olives which were on mine and thank God we both inspected them before biting into them. I asked for light mayo . There was so much I could barely hold the sub. How do you screw up both orders when you wrote them down? I've never had this happen here, they've always made good subs. This is not acceptable. I called n asked if I could have pumpkin pie n a maple cream pie made for me. They said yes. I picked them up Dec 21st, n we had some of each pie that night. The pumpkin was either a sweet potato pie or they left out key ingredients because it tasted awful. The maple cream pie was basically just a whip cream pie. The maple on the bottom was about the size of the pie crust n the rest was a huge amount of whip cream on top. I went back a few days later with the "pumpkin pie" to make a complaint n the nice young man behind the counter tóok the pie. The pie only had a few pieces taken from it. The young man took my name n number, n he said he'd have a manager call me. It's weeks later n no one ever...

10 stars all around. Great customer service. Such friendly people. My husband and I just moved in down the road and Mother Hubbard's is quite convenient. We both work early hours and to my surprise I have just enough time to pop in and grab breakfast a few times a week. They have an array of everyday products. Homemade goodies and bread. Local eggs! I've worked at places like this in various parts of Vermont and this is one of my favorites. Good prices, good food, good people. Thank you Mother Hubbard...
