This wasn’t just one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, it was THE worst. My husband, our two kids, and I came in for an early Father’s Day meal (dinner- Saturday night) since I had to work on Sunday. I’ll just say we rarely ever go out to eat because with an infant and toddler, it can be a bit more stressful than I’d like to deal with, but it was a special occasion, my husband loves his steak and we were excited to try another upscale steakhouse with great reviews. We showed up for our reservation and were sat quickly, we were able to put in our appetizer(scallops- delicious) and son’s order first, then after a few minutes our server came back and took the rest of our order. We both ordered the NY Strip-rare, Caesar salads- (extremely subpar), brussel sprouts-(delicious), asparagus, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and the Swordfish(delicious) to split. Our scallops, son’s chicken tenders, and our salads came out in a timely manner and then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. We waited over an hour for our steaks to come out, which were cold and mine was overcooked but at this point I wasn’t going to wait anymore for another steak. But that wasn’t all folks, our sides still hadn’t come out. We waited another 30 minutes for our brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and potatoes to come out. The Swordfish then came out and when we asked about our asparagus they said it was being plated and it took another 20 minutes. Each time we had asked about our meals prior to getting any of it we kept being told by the server AND manager that it was being plated…so it was being plated for roughly 40 minutes or so?? They said this about every dish, and then had the audacity to blame the kitchen and tell us they’re busy and backed up. We literally watched every table around us get there after us and leave before us, happily getting their food and enjoying their meals in a timely manner. Anyone who dines with the littlest of kids knows they have a time limit and we gave ourselves enough time for our kids to enjoy dinner and be decent, after over 2 hours they were done, ready to go and tired. By the time we got our steaks we had to choke down some bites and basically box everything up because they weren’t going to last any longer. At the end the manager ended up comping the our whole meal, which I would think would be expected from an awful experience, but I would have rather had an amazing Father’s Day dinner for my husband, and...

Heard about this place from one of the employees of EQC so decided to give it a try.

As I walked in the restaurant which is on the top floor of the hotel the vibe struck me as very airport, the place just feels like I'm in an airport waiting room, from the carpets to the bar set up it just doesn't feel like a fine dining steak house.

My wife and I sat at the bar area and were greeted after a short wait. We discussed drinks with the waitress and she convinced me to try the "slightly more expensive" option for my old fashioned , assuring me that the difference in taste was well worth it. We put in an order for the scallops and baked brie appetizers.

The drink came, I tried it and, I will say now that no there was no difference in taste , I know this because the drink after that one I opted for makers mark whiskey and it tasted nearly identical to the previous drink.

The appetizers came and both were very good, presentation was nice , nothing crazy but put together with care.

Through out the time we were I could hear the bartender repeatedly saying how great the upgraded old fashioned was to other patrons.

The bill came and that's where this whole thing took a plunge, apparently the "slightly more expensive " whiskey was 75 dollars for 1.5 ounces.

Who reccomends a 75 dollar drink without saying something other than this is slightly more expensive? I felt like I had been lied to , perhaps I should have asked about the price but when she assured me it was only slightly more expensive than maker's mark I felt like I didn't need to.

With a whiskey of that quality why would you do anything but drink it neat and enjoy it? Who reccomends this to be put in a drink? Certainly no one with any sort of respect for the product.

Apparently there is no price per drink , it's price per pour here?

This place has decent food but the servers seem out of touch with their guests, and uninformed on quality alchohol. The place looks and feels like an airport lounge and the food is the only semi saving grace.

Bottom...

celebrated my birthday and anniversary here and brought my 3 year old too!

what we ordered: kids cheeseburger w/ fries: 8/10– brioche bun was delicious, buttery, crispy edges and soft buns. cheese was melted and the burger were cooked perfectly. fries were also good. wish it came with a fry sauce. the option to have lettuce and tomatoes would have made it a 10/10. baked brie starter: 7/10 bc the phyllo dough was burnt on some parts, otherwise it was yummy but i wouldn’t get it again. if it came with more fruit i would get it again. slahal salad: 6/10, it was good but it was mostly arugula. i wish it came with more of the toppings! it lacked the bleu cheese crumbles, candied walnuts and the bacon lardon. it is a HUGE portion though. i def only ate 1/4th of it. chilean sea bass: 8/10– so good but by the time this came out i was full. i would get it again. it was cooked perfectly and i loved the crispy taro on top. my husband got the rib eye: 9/10, he got it medium and it was cooked perfectly. it came with a salad, he chose caesar and it was a 8/10. i tried the steak and the veggies it came with and the veggies were yummy, acidic, salty, not mushy. crispy brussel sprouts: 9/10 crunchy, salty, acidic and just delightful. would get this again. garlic mashed potatoes 5/10: could’ve done without this. it’s a huge portion and was not seasoned. wish it had more garlic. free desserts for my bday that were meh 3/10, i feel like they were just random frozen petit fours from costco. they made it cool by adding a dry ice bath in the middle to create a “smoky” dish. however i had a bite of each one and they were all stale. they also put each dessert on top of a huge amount of mango & berry sauce which overpowered each dessert so maybe that’s why i didn’t really taste anything but that, overall it was meh. also the free bread basket that was warm with the salted butter was absolutely delicious. i almost asked for another serving...
