926 Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Was very disappointed in this place New Year’s Eve night. First I was kicked out at 8:45 after being there since 8 to get in a long line of people to get a wrist band and then had to pay as well. I don’t care if it was a special occasion, if you don’t consistently kick people out to pay a cover , then you shouldn’t have kicked us out to begin with. Secondly , the night wasn’t really worth the 10$ to get in. Third, the drag shows were horrible. The only drag that was experienced or seem to have experience was the host and I was disappointed she didn’t perform as she was dope. And Fourth , there wasn’t enough champagne for everyone for the count down. Fifth , I don’t know what happened to the drink pricing, but for what I drank that night that was no different thank my usual nights , my bill was 3x more expensive. Was a total rip off, your bartender Scott is rude AF , so is your bartender Kodi. I don’t normally deal with them because I don’t go to the dance floor bar but because they weren’t at the dance floor bar I had to. Super rude . I won’t be back with my partner . And for a club to be so voiceful and physical on throwing out underaged guys, there were a ton drinking and running around that night. Food sucked too and the guy that brought us the food put his bare hand in my fries. Watched him walk from behind the bar out and back. I know there is no sink in between to wash his hands. i would like to start off with I usually love this place! I had a very bad, immature experience with the staff there the other night however that made me and my friends rather upset. My partner ordered me a Shirley Temple without alcohol because I am underage, and after getting it I drank it in the bar area in full view of the bartenders. I order virgin shirley temples all the time here and have never had it be reported to security that I was “underage drinking”, which shows is also an inconsistent system. A security guard came into the club to “escort us out” and essentially scolded us which was unkind. I understand keeping your liquor license etc and being cautious with people, but not listening at all and acting like we’re the problem is not the answer. I am pretty socially awkward and didn’t know what to say to him, and he didn’t listen to us when we asked him to just talk to the bartender who made us the virgin Shirley Temple. It made me really sad tbh, if it’s such a big deal then just use different cups for nonalcoholic drinks, or put special lettering on the cups especially because I have to pay more money to get into the club in the first place. I have heard this happen to a bunch of other people at 926 and it’s really unfortunate, especially because now I don’t want to celebrate my 21st birthday there. i came to 926 to see my friends perform in their band. from the second we stepped up to the door, we were being disrespected for no reason whatsoever. the security guards were cold and harsh— one of them being unrightfully mean to my friend specifically, completely unprovoked. the action of getting us through the door was insanely messy and time consuming, it was almost like they had no idea how to talk to other human beings. once we get inside, it’s just too crowded for anyone to actually enjoy themselves there. the bartenders are mean, the smell is disgusting. i have heard good things about this place in the past but time has been nothing but a revealer of how mediocre this place is. basic customer service and human decency is nonexistent here, as well as the knowledge of how to actually entertain customers. not only this, but whoever was giving bands directions as to how to set up on stage (the person who runs the soundboard) was also extremely snarky and bitter the entire time. while explaining to this band— who i came to see— how to adjust their equipment and volume, he was so quick to be as ill-mannered as possible basically implying that they were incapable of following such rudimentary instructions. one of the most unwelcoming environments i have...
