Cancun's Sports Bar and Grill on West Tennessee St — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Cancun's is the place to go if you are looking for a very casual vibe, outside seating and/or a little entertainment. This is NOT the place to go if you are on a date night, special occasion or on a date night.

SERVICE: Mediocore at best. Many of the servers are young college age students. I actually didn't notice any male servers. Its fast paced and very busy. Most, (if not all) of the seats are bar top style with stools. Some of the drinks are serve in a clear plastic cups. The servers aren't very attentive. They are the type that will come up to you and say, "Hi what can I get you to drink?" as opposed to introducing themselves, going over the drink specials and maybe suggesting something off of the menu. Do NOT expect to be "Wow'd".

FOOD: I ordered some medium wings and they were pretty tasty. I was charged $1 extra for all flats and that was fine by me. The flavor was great...just enough spice and they came with a few pieces of celery. The portion size was appropriate and the price point was good.

DRINKS: I ordered a whisky and ginger ale and it was only $5 for a double. I dined in on a Wednesday evening around 8pm.

ENTERTAINMENT: On this particular night, there was "SINGO"; a song version of "BINGO" with different styles of music. It was pretty fun and gift cards (to the restaurant) were the prize if you won. There is also Latin night on Fridays and Saturdays as well as Reggae Sundays.

Cancuns, to me, is an alternative to a club and there aren't many lounges in Tallahassee. I like that there is no cover charge and the fact that I can dress casually. I definitely wish the service was better, but since I know what to expect where I come here....it doesn't bother me too much. I am definitely a fan of tipping....at least 20%....but mediocre service sometimes results in mediocre tipping right? All in all, its a great chill spot to have a...

Came here last night to end out my birthday (10/02) and the service absolutely sucked! Usually I go to Burrito Borders(which is amazing), but I wanted to try something new--never again! I only had a party of 3 and our waitress took forever to come back and check on us and in the total of being there 2-2.5 hours, we seen her a total of 3 times! My wings had to get sent back because they were still pink inside and it took another 30 minutes for them to come back out. SMH! Then when we asked to speak with a manager, the waitress got defensive and literally started arguing with my friend and we kept saying we are not going back and forth with you, please just get your manager. Unfortunately, the manager was even worse! The waitress stood by him with her hands on her hips trying to intimidate us and we had to force him to make her leave so we could speak to him. The manager proceeds to insinuate that we are lying about the service and he was sure it "wasn't as bad as it seems". I couldn't believe it! At this point, my friends and I just decided to no longer give our hard earned money to an establishment who couldn't care less about losing 3 customers. On top of it all, the manager still made us pay full price for everything.....

I come to Cancun's all the time and the food is using on point and I'm using please and happy but tonight was a disaster and a disappointment, the lady who fixed my plate , I spent $146 , 😭😭 only to be disappointed and not compensated with a good meal I just wanted to feed my family with a good taco Tuesday night, the fact that the employees don't care anymore , is a disappointment to the place that I remember and have known for years I truly would like at least a $100 refund I work hard for my money, 💰, and I am not pleased, when I got home my son's and his friends said that those were the worst tacos they ever had, because the tortillas were moist and not separated in a piece of full like they usually are, the only thing that was good about the Neil Wilson son everything else was just thrown in the bag we didn't even get many nachos, the bartender actually charge me $14 for a shot glass that she didn't even fix right there was no salt around our tequila shots at all like who takes tequila shots with no salt or limes, I want my money back or I will be going on strike that people that care about customer...
