I am writing from a parent point of view. Not being from Tallahassee I didn't really know much about this school. I am a parent that is involved in my child's education and allowing him to attend the school for a semester was the BIGGEST mistake that we made. My son plans were to attend the University of North Carolina, however, at the last minute, he changed his mind and wanted to attend FSU. Being that we missed the application enrollment, we thought maybe he can attend TCC and then transfer. OMG, why did we decide that? Mind you that my son came into his first year of college with 56 dual enrollment college credits. The teachers don't care about the students at all. The math teacher was unbelievable ridiculous. It doesn't matter if the child got the right answer, but left a something off while working the problem, but still have the correct answer. He marks the entire problem wrong. So the child gets the same credit as a child that left the problem incorrect. That's just one of the many problem, the Biology teacher was no better. I would not recommend sending your child to TCC the teachers that my child had demonstrated that they don't care about the students. Not to mention that my son graduated from high school with a 4.12 GPA. From the parents...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExtremely grateful for the opportunity, knowledge, and care I received from TSC. Not only do I believe my career, income & impact have been assisted by what I learned in general, but I also frequently remember the courses and information during real life situations and apply it - even at times subconsciously - to improve my work and life and hopefully the lives of others.
The vast majority of staff and academic counseling were helpful and genuine educators.
The facilities were pretty solid for a smaller college. Will say the athletics needs some more investment, especially for the relative talent rich environment in which TSC is located, and please a JUCO football team. I still am shocked by the amount of potential in even just football specifically that goes by the wayside because of no JUCO opportunities in Floridaā¦
Aside from that TSC helped develop my life and mind for the positive. Great value, the time you put in will pay dividends and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have not actually started classes at this school yet and it seems like a good school but I found something to complain about. If you are in a rush DO NOT waste your time calling this school. There is not a time that I call this school that I am not put on hold for at least an hour. The shortest amount of time they have taken to answer my call was 32 minutes. All the other times I have called I have been placed on hold for an hour or more. How can a school be busy 24/7? And I would just send this school and email but guess what. They NEVER respond to my emails. I emailed them about the same thing 4 times and I never got anything. I even tried emailing different departments about the issues I was having and I never received anything. I am currently on hold and I've been on hold so far for 57 minutes. I do not have time to be sitting on this phone waiting for these people...
