I have always loved ordering from here and have used the app for online ordering for at least a year. However, on June 3rd, I opened my app to order, and the location was set for a store almost an hour away. I changed the location to my local store and proceeded with my $64 order. An hour later, I pulled to the pick-up window, and to my complete shock, they did not have my order. I went to the app immediately and discovered that it was sent to the wrong store an hour away. I did not think to double-check it before submitting my order. I had never had this issue before. The lady at my local store suggested calling the other store and letting them know what happened. She said that they would refund it. So I pulled over and parked and called the other store. The lady on the other end of the phone line proceeded to do keep repeating that this was a very large order I couldn't just drive up there and get it I explained to her that I was an hour away they would be closed by the time I got there. This was very upsetting to me as I knew it was a large order as I had several teens at my house starving! Finally, she agreed that she would refund the money but kept repeating how large the order was. I thanked her and apologized again for the error and explained again that I did not know how that happened. I then proceeded to reorder all of the food and picked it up at my local store. So that means I had to pay for the food again. Thinking that I would be receiving a refund for the first one, I had no issue with this. However, that again was in June, and I still have not received the refund. I have called multiple times emailed several times and have received no response concerning this matter. I understand I should have double checked my order for errors, but at the same time the fact that I changed it in the app and then proceeded with the order it should not have been sent to the other store. And I should not have been told that yes, they would refund the money if there were rules against that! Now I'm not saying There Are Rules against it. I'm just saying they did not refund my money after telling me they were going to and we did not get the food. This was very upsetting is I live just like everybody else does these days paycheck to paycheck rubbing two pennies together to try to make a dime. Since they do not refund the money, I have not ordered from Hungry Howie's. So we have not had Hungry Howie's in our house since June 3rd. Read moreThis Hungry Howies provides horrible customer service. No matter how many new managers they hire, the sad customer service is the same. We had to stop using our debit card to place orders because they charge us a second time 3 months later when they changed their debit/ credit card machine. When I spoke to the manager then, he told me that he is just the manager and it was not his problem. Instead of being apologetic that I, as a customer, even had to deal with unauthorized charges from the company HE WORKS FOR, I was told it's not his problem. The associates that speaks to customers at the window is so rude. One associate rushed my husband away from the window when he was picking up the pizza we ordered in advance (that we still had to wait on them to cook) and she forgot to give us our drink. When my husband called in regards to the drink, the manager said he would give us a credit for the amount of the drink. When explained to him that he cant give us a credit for something we already purchased he somehow in his mind felt he was giving us a free soda. For some reason, the staff at this hungry howies feel as though they are doing their customers a favor. They are literally 5 minutes from my house which makes them convenient but I would rather burn my gas to go across town to a better company who knows how to treat their customers. Read moreThis was my first time trying Hungry Howie’s, and wow — the pizza was so good, and the price was even better! I’ll admit I was a little nervous, thinking it might be like Little Caesar’s, but nope — it’s way better. The flavored crust was a total game changer!
I’m not sure if all Hungry Howie’s pizzas are this good or if it’s just this location, but the staff here really knows what they’re doing. The manager, Amber, was so nice and friendly. She recommended the Detroit-style pizza and the cheesy bread — and both were absolutely delicious, 12/10! I’m pretty sure she made them herself because they were perfect.
I can’t wait to go back next week for my Friday night pizza and to chat with Amber and the rest of the friendly team again. Highly recommend...
