El Mezcalito Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Tallapoosa

So glad this place opened!! We love the original location in Bowdon and have been waiting for this one to open! Finally a place close to home to get a good margarita! We live 5 mins from Los Cowboys in Buchanan and 10 mins from Santa Fe and you just can’t beat the food and drinks from this place! Before they opened, we would drive to Bremen or Carrollton for good Mexican food because the previous restaurants as mentioned are not that great. The food here tastes authentic and they have a full bar! Although when we went last Saturday they didn’t have draft beer, but hopefully that is something they add in the near future!!

The wife and I have been exploring new restaurants whenever we visit a new city. We decided to try Mexican cuisine, and this place exceeded our expectations. The barlilia tacos were the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve had many from various places. The food was incredible, and the service was impeccable. If they maintain this level of quality, this restaurant could become a popular destination for those seeking Mexican food.

A hidden gem! We went on a friend's recommendation. We got seated right away on a Friday night. The staff was excellent and fast. The salsa is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The food tastes fresher than many other places. The drinks are a little pricey, BUT they use fresh ingredients, fresh fruits, no mixes, just look at the pics.
