Corner Club is the story of a local Dive bar reborn as a lively open air welcoming local eatery, coffee bar, and weekly cozy events place catering to locals of Old Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa. Corner Club has a limited menu but each item on their thoughtfully crafted menu is made with heart and pride. The menu offers coffee, cocktails, mock tails, wine, breakfast items (quiche, biscuits, pancakes, toast), lunch items (bratwurst, pretzel rolls, pizza, sandwiches, wings, burgers) The space has plenty of indoor seating, a small game room, and a decent sized backyard patio with covered seating and a small stage. The staff are very welcoming and it's a great space to hang out with friends for conversations over yummy dishes. I tired their Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita which tasted like a combination of strawberry fizz with jalapeño tequila. This drink isn't for everyone. It was decent but somehow the combination weren't my favorite. I also had their Smoked Bratwurst - pork sausage, tepache mustard in a pretzel roll. This was by far one of great tasting bratwurst I've had in a while. The hot bratwurst wrapped in warm pretzel roll had a perfect balance of meaty glutinous taste. The mustard added a little bite as aftertaste. A great item to order. My side of Papas Bravas - Spanish style potatoes w/ paprika, aioli, scallion was a perfect combination to my bratwurst. The potatoes were slightly crusty on the outside while being moist inside. The paprika added the visually striking color and the aioli added a creamy finish to each bite. This is a must have when visiting Corner Club. This place is a hidden neighborhood gem. If you are not local to the neighborhood, you might find it to be in the middle of nowhere. I think the location adds appeal to the history and legacy of corner club.

Had the opportunity to grab breakfast at the NEW corner club. Breakfast starts at 10am. Decent menu offerings that are not like every other restaurant. We had the lox on bagel, dutch baby, and chocolate pound cake french toast. Pictures in post. There are definitely still some front of house timing problems, which is to be expected for a restaurant in its first week. The chef was absolutely killing it the entire time and was never behind on orders. Service staff is really friendly and eager to answer any questions. There's a pretty extensive drink list with interesting new stuff on the way. Our food was generally good, except for the Dutch baby. The problem is that it was a bit soggy and it's very small for the price point. The lox are good quality and the bagel was well toasted with a generous schmear. The French toast was a fun sweet and savory dish. We also watched a bunch of other food come out that looked great. Value for money is great, you can't go wrong. I will miss the old corner club but this new iteration is worth a visit. We will definitely be back.

I could write a whole essay about how much I love Corner Club. This is our go-to spot when we need to get out of the house. I sometimes work from there, my kid sometimes stops in when walking home from school to use the bathroom (because they close the bathrooms at the school...another story for another time), and unless we're sick or out of town, we go once a week for dinner. I have loved all the cocktails I've tried there, they have a good beer selection and decent house wines, and they have some great menu items. I have eaten a lot of VLTs, and their honey biscuits are just so good. Our baby is into the Papas Bravas. Plus, they do cool events! The owner knows our names, is so kind and generous, and has done a fantastic job of cultivating a safe, welcoming, and versatile neighborhood space. And we love Josh and Julia, too. I sometimes tell people that the Corner Club makes me feel like I live in Stars Hollow and have a Luke's Diner (but with alcohol and without the drama). It is one of the things I love the most about living in NESH.

Disappointing overall coming from someone with plenty of restaurant management experience and in walking distance that badly wants this place to succeed. Confusing concept as they’re doing sit down service but the service is the quality similar to that of a counter order and Pickup. I’ve received more attention at a Tijuana Flats. Coffee orders came and the person bringing them didn’t know what they were or who they were supposed to go to. Gave us a stack of glasses and bottle of water and walked away. Infrequent stop ins (took order and delivered order only) to check in or ask how anything was. Ended up having to go to the bar to pay to find a casual chat occurring which explains why the above mentioned occurred. Asked for tab and was asked “can I see your card” without being presented a bill or told a total. $30 for 2 coffee drinks, average and cold BCE biscuit and a not good Dutch Baby. I understand without a full vent system you’re limited but food was painfully obviously reheated and done half heartedly. Ordinarily ok but all things considered we don’t feel compelled to return. People are very much accustomed to eating at home and I feel like to make new restaurants/beer wine bars/coffee bars or whatever The ‘new’ Corner Club is, you must work really hard to make sure all things are on par. All that said, I support and hope for success here and will return again to give it another go while they work...
