My fiancé and I typically like this place and don’t mind going from time to time tonight was a very special night with horrible service. By the time we were done with our meals and closing out our tabs we’ve met three different servers and each of them who never gave their names to us, nobody ever came back to refill our waters or asked how everything was going and grab any extra plates that were on our table just taking up room and to top it off when we were asked if we were sharing our fajitas we said yes we received them We only received three tortillas. After receiving our fajitas, our second server came by and my fiancé asked her for more tortillas unknowingly we were charged for the extra tortillas when our first server knew that we were sharing them and obviously three tortillas will not be enough for two people to share to, she would tell us about the charge For adding more steak solution was to up charges for more when the steak was not even enough to begin with. They were not accommodating or understanding. We just felt really neglected instead of feeling like we were being served in conclusion service received, and we are people who never leave bad reviews and always tip regardless of the service that we get, however this type of service from Don Julio’s was very disappointing and definitely don’t recommend this place for dinner maybe for happy hour other than that the service that we got was sad and almost inhumane the way we were treated as if like we did not go out to eat to get serviced. We were out to eat just to get food and not be attended to, and I would also like to mention that we drove 30 minutes away just for this service hoping it would be the same as last time. I hope this helps and I hope the manager changes their ways and also the staff too.
P. S. Whoever are last server was for the night, it may not be best for you to come over to your table with food in your mouth trying to be polite to cover it up with your hand. Maybe if you’re eating take your time to eat it all the way before you arrive at the table to eat over your guests food. Just a heads up hope this helps your career.
I ALSO FORGOT TO ADD I HAD TO CUT UP MY OWN STEAK 😂 and all 3 servers saw me struggle with a butter knife after we told them our concerns.
Don Julio’s you really out did yourself...
Read moreThe service was amazing but the food was subpar at best. Santiago was super attentive and kind He did his best to make our experience better short of actually cooking the food himself
I relayed all these notes to him to let the kitchen know and I am writing here so that others know to be prepared. I dunno why there are so many 5 star reviews. This restaurant is far from authentic and the food lacks flavor and finesse.
Pros: the chips and cheese dip were amazing the Jamaica agua fresca was yummy
Cons: the molcajete was bland, overcooked and tough. The meat (chicken and beef) was cut up into huge thick strips and very dry. There was almost no sauce to speak of (even the red sauce that was given as a side was barely enough to cover the dryness) It was missing peppers and when I asked for extra peppers I got rotted fermented ones that smelled bad and looked like they’ve seen better days. The tortillas were cold and tough and quite thick as well. The shrimp was over cooked and meh. All this for the not so small price of $29.99
the whole fried fish was not good at all, it was undercooked and greasy and smelled quite fishy.
the kid’s alphabet soup was flavorless and the pasta was over cooked
the salsa for the chips was missing seasoning
the fish tacos were bland and uninspiring.
It’s quite overpriced for subpar Mexican food that missed the mark on...
Read moreService was horrible from the start. By the time we ordered our food we got about 3 different servers the whole time. My fiancé and I ordered waters and were never refilled we only got one salsa cup for the chips and didn’t see the server for a while after that to ask for more. We then ordered our food which was the steak fajitas to share and my fiancé ordered two extra tacos for us as well. When they brought out the fajitas, there were about five pieces of steak on there and a load of vegetables on the skillet with barely any meat so we asked if we could have extra since we’re sharing and they said it would be $10 extra so we said no ( the steak fajitas were already $24.99 ) and she went to go check with the manager and said it would actually be $13.99 if we got extra steak and then on top of that only brought us three tortillas so we asked for more since we were sharing and they charged us for extra tortillas after we told them from the start that we were sharing and by the time they finally came out with the tortillas we were almost done eating the fajitas. After we ate, the server, came to check on us and approached us with her eating food and her hand covering her mouth so we just asked for the check because we were just...
