Amberly Park — Attraction in Tampa

Older white man needs to be careful yelling at people kids. I’ll make this long story short because the park will likely not care but this is an advisory to my community to consider another nearby park. I go here often but on Mother’s Day the older man asked if I lived over here when I signed it but he walked up after I was already signin in so that was odd. Giving off very racist vibes cause he harassed me and my family BLACK the whole time saying something about a car parked in the wrong spot but only asking my family and the Hispanic teens playing basketball. Also coming to us every 5 min saying he’s closing soon even tho they were closing in like a hour and a half. Noted NOT ONCE did he walk up to the white lady playing with her son, odd but whatever. 15 min before closing after harassing my family and the Hispanic teens ont he basketball court about the time he threatened all of us that he is closing the gate exactly at (forgot the time they closed that day) and he meant it. After I annoyingly told him “I’m waiting on my family to get to the car” trying to be polite as possible given how he ruined our evening, he literally YELLED at the Hispanic teens “GET IN YOUR CAR AND LEAVE NOW OR IM LOCKING YOU IN!!!!( pointing to their cars aggressively) I don’t know about all of you but that old man needs to be careful yelling at people kids and i highly recommend y’all be careful sending your kids to the park with him there. Very foul energy and I’ll be going to try Compton park out until he’s gone. The other employees I’ve encountered havent caused...

RESIDENT ONLY PARK What google doesnt tell you is that this is a resident only park and unless you live at amberly place the security in the park will harass you and your children until you leave.

Please Lable things correctly so we dont have incidents like this where you have to carry 2 upset and scared toddlers back to a car after being yelled at for 5 minutes that you cant be here.

Amberly Park truly impressed us during our visit. This well-maintained residential neighborhood playground, although geared more towards younger children, offered a delightful experience. The presence of a covered shelter and restrooms was convenient, and the choice of rubberized turf over chipped mulch or sand was appreciated.
