We wanted to try their new location before we go on lockdown so that was our last dinner out for 2 weeks. Staff was alright, so many of them so I'd expect to be checked on regularly which they did I guess. We asked for a menu cause we don't usually eat there and saw another table had one, she just pointed to the plate prices. So that sucked. Prices are kinda high, I would NOT call them generous with their portions. My son wasn't in the mood for chicken and rice (rice was really a kid portion for 3.90). So I asked if she had shrimp tempura for him, she asked which one but didnt mention any price. I expected it to be around the price of the other plates. NOPE, when we paid the total was WAY higher than expected and I asked how much the tempura was because they don't explain anything on their breakdown... she said $16.50... $16.50 for 5 small pcs of tempura shrimp that doesn't even come with rice! I mean could I have ordered just 3pc instead cause that's really all he ate?! And we asked 3 people for our check before we actually got it... I was very disappointed. Sad I wasted our last night out on that. Expect to pay 2.80 for ginger 3.90 for maybe half a scoop of rice if you're lucky 5.95 for the average sushi 16.50 for a SIDE of shrimp tempura
Oh! And that price wasn't sitting well with me, so I called just to ask how much the shrimp tempura is normally and she told me $5.50 so when I explained I was charged 16.50 she put me on hold for a minute and then gets on and tells me oh it's 16.50 I thought you meant tempura roll... doesn't that...
Read moreMy first time dining there and it was the single most infuriating and disappointing experience I've ever had (I wish I was overexaggerating.) Over a span of 30 mins, my other half and I had asked 3 different waitresses for a glass of water to which either they had either forgot about us or focused on other customer's orders. We were new to the restaurant so when we had signaled the chef, even if we took 3 seconds to be sure what we were going to order, he had shifted focus to other customers. When a waitress was nice enough to write our order down to pass it to the chef, that order basically disappeared and nothing came of it. Out of the 5-6 overpriced plates I ordered, I had only received 2 of mine which doesn't include the miso soup that I had asked for. It's soup...how long does it take to get pre-prepared soup and just ladle it into a bowl? Honestly, it just feels like they cater more to returning customers or friends as I've heard good things from other people and saw another customer tip $10 to the other chef that basically never looked in our direction.
Long story short, if you're new...please don't expect much. I've tried another rotary place that was more than willing to have everything prepared right as we ordered.
My other half and I will not...

Its my 62nd Birthday... hooray for some things.
Very hangry most likely from eatting French pastry cake for breakfast at 9:07 am, followed by a 12-pack of Diet Coke (nectar of the goDs) as nourishment for the rest of my day.
~ We first drove to the original Rotary location because Google maps told me to. Arrived at the new (June 2020) Burger King location and told that we had an hour wait. So I announced loudly I was going to Burger King 🤴. Host said that we could sit outside (in the old drive through). Nice setting actually.
Our server must have been new, so I was nice (note that my traveling companions disagree with that comment). But it was frustrating as the poor chap had no idea about menu details.
Dynamite Roll was odd and mysterious, and not in a good way. Crunchy roll was excellent and very small. Eel sushi 🍣 was decent. Seaweed good. Albacore very good. Miso soup 🍲 was gratis, and good. Ginger. BTW was the best I have ever had in 26 years!
Conclusion, marginal...
