We went to the restaurant in Taneytown, MD (21787) to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday. First of all when we went in the restaurant, we were told that they do not serve customers there and that we would have to come up to the counter and order our own food. When I responded that we would just order online so we could order at our table and get the entire group's order, we were told that we were not allowed and that we had to order everything full menu price because any specials were carryout only (which is not listed on any of the coupons). Not only did we have to go to the counter to order, but we were told that we would also have to pickup our drinks and food at the counter. Needless to say, we left and did an online order and took the food home to eat. When we got home to eat, we ordered (3) 16 counts of boneless wings and (1) 8 count and they were not cooked all the way through. The sauce that was on there was very minimal and some of the wings had no sauce at all. We also ordered (1) Big New Yorker which was ok, a stuffed crust that was ok (a little shy on the cheese), and a pepperoni pan pizza that had only 5 pepperonis on the entire pizza. With all of that, we had a terrible experience and definitely put a damper on my daughter's big 13 birthday. Was not happy at all. So for some suggestions, if you are going to have seating and a restaurant, there should be servers to take your order and serve your food and drinks. If this is not a thing and customers are to serve themselves, then they should have the options of using coupons for dine in experiences. Also, if coupons are for carryout / delivery only, they should mention that they are not...
Read moreIf i could give a 0,I would. The last time we had been there with 6 people they told us to call ahead so they could have the tables set. We called the morning of and let them know we would have 14 people. They said they'd have it set up. We arrived and told them we were there and looked in the dining room and nothing was set up. I told the woman that I would get the tables set up and she said "go for it". The waitresses came out and said, you're going to have to put it back when you're done. I promptly told her that wouldn't happen! The waitress got mad and walked away and didn't see her again. The manager came out and apologized that it wasn't set up and took the drink order. She said that once we were ready to order come up to the counter and place the order. Drinks need to be brought up to the counter to be refilled. I asked when did this change and she said all pizza huts are going this way. We ordered, they brought it the pizzas. No silverware or plates. We enjoyed our time but when we needed to use the bathrooms, NO hot water, NO soap and NO paper towels. When asked about this they said they were out. Here is the best part, other people came in to eat and they were served. Nothing like a...
Read moreWe ordered carryout today from the Taneytown Pizza Hut. It was by far the worst pizza I have EVER had. I've had better pizza from a gas station! I paid $32 for two stuff crust pizzas both of which were under cooked and soggy. My kids were starving so I put the pizzas back in the oven to finish cooking them. This made the cheese pizza edible, but there was no salvaging the meat lovers one. It stayed a soggy mess. So I called Pizza Hut and spoke to the manager - some manager! When I explained how bad the pizza was I got "okay". No I'm sorry or we'll make you another one. When I picked up the pizza I noticed that there was only one couple eating in even though it was dinner time - I guess this should have been a clue that the food as well as the service is awful! Lesson learned....won't be going there again. If I can find the owner information I will give them...
