Are you hungry? Like REALLY hungry? Then get the Tangent Inn Burger. A bacon cheese burger with a large cheese skirt. Just all the cheese from the skirt is enough to fill you up. But the burgers are nice 1/2 lb patties (cooked to medium unless you ask otherwise). But if that's not what you're looking for, get the chicken fried steak (either the dinner meal or go in early enough to get the breakfast version.) Literally, these things are the size of my forearm and twice as wide! There's a little bit of everything on the menu to satisfy even the most indecisive appetite. Really neat atmosphere inside and they have a large covered area outside as well for dining and entertainment with lots of heaters and a fire pit. They have like an open mic/artist showcase on Wednesday nights, Thursday and Friday nights is karaoke, and Saturday nights there is a live band playing music (there is a reservation only policy on Saturday nights from 7pm and on, I believe, and I think it's like $30. They book up quick so plan accordingly.) Long and short, if you haven't been out to this hidden gem, go check it out. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. It at least...
Read moreWow! Where do I start? Okay, first off, when you walk in, it’s a roll of the dice if the staff even notice you’re there. After 5 minutes at the bar (being only the third person there) I was greeted with a, “Oh, hey, I didn’t see you.” When I eventually was able to order some food it came in a timely manner. Which may be why the French fries that accompanied my burger where so horribly undercooked. It’s as if they shredded a potato into tiny pieces, dipped it in lukewarm oil and figured it would pass as something edible. The burger I chose off their overpriced menu was the jalapeño popper burger which tasted okay I guess but fell apart instantly. I ended up using equal amounts of napkins for my hands that I did for sopping up the excess oil of those fries. Lastly, even though my economic and ethnological status didn’t vary far from that of the guests and staff, I felt that if I lingered any longer in the establishment I would be a victim of some sort of Deliverance style hate crime. So, if you were to ask, no, I will not...
Read moreSo, after an MTB ride, I stroll into the Inn and pull up to the bar, where I am greeted with impeccable customer service from Trey and Abbey (sorry if I misspelled your names). I ordered the Tangent Burger and had never seen the food besides the FB post daily. But I digress. See the pick below, and the presentation is off the chart, the flavor again so much more than I expected for the 14.00 meal, but wait, to coin a phrase, there's more. The French fries were skinny but a huge pile, but I was more impressed with the flavor and the in-house-made Fry sauce. Come on, it could not have gotten better than just seeing the potential beyond an already fantastic experience, and I will return often. Again great bartender in Trey; he made the night I stayed till close, which is currently 9 pm. Bill keep, Trey. He is a huge asset. And Trey, let's do those Bar T-shirt Prints!!!...
