I was really looking forward to this restaurant, I had heard some good things and thought It'd be a great place to take my mom for her birthday with our family, it was a party of 5 adults... I was sadly disappointed. I don't think we will return.
We started off with drinks, 3 of us ordered the caramel apple pie sangria and when it came it looked nothing like the description. The taste was even worse, it literally tasted like water with lemon. We asked to get other drinks... my mother wanted a Jack Daniels and sprite instead and I ordered a Caramel apple martini (I asked if they could make that, the waitress assured me they could) my drink was drinkable but not very good. The sangrias were $12 a piece, later on when we received the bill there were still 2 sangrias listed and my martini... my martini came out to $10.50 and when I asked about the other sangrias on the bill the waitress said the jack and sprite would have been the same price either way.... that alone is insane to me.... who pays $12 for a jack and sprite... I bet if I went tomorrow and ordered it, it'd be cheaper than $12. Anyway, the food... the clam chowder was watery and Luke warm at best... the stuffed quahogs were good though and they give 2 for each order. However, 3 of us at the table had steak... 1 was a medium rare and the other 2 were medium (one being mine) the other 2 came out perfect, mine came out more then well done. By the time the waitress came to check on the food that were brought out (and not by her) my family was halfway done eating... I complained about my steak but did not want to return it for a new one because first I dont like to send back food but secondly my family would have been done eating by the time that my new plate arrived... instead of trying to compensate or apologize for the mistake or send over a manager she just said sorry and said she'd let the chef know. I was still charged $30 for my plate and I maybe took 2 bites of the steak.... our bill came out to almost $300 with the tip (we still tipped 20% because I recognize that she wasn't the one that prepared our drinks or food and everyone else's entrees were good). For a first time experience I have to say that was pretty awful and the customer service wasn't that great. The waitress was friendly at the beginning but maybe inexperienced as far as customer service goes and then when we return drinks the friendless faded. For the amount of money spent and the lack of quality, I personally won't be returning again. Don't have high expectations if you decide to go. Although I've heard a lot of great things, I did not get that experience or quality..
They should also probably find a...
Read moreWe had a group of seven. We tried to reserve a table for the patio but was told that they do not take reservations for outside but not to worry the patio opens up after six so we would be seated with no problem. We specifically asked if we should make a reservation for indoors and was told it would not be needed. We arrived at 5:45 and waited almost an hour before being seated. However, since the patio was still packed after six they finally offered us an indoor table at 6:30. We Immediately ordered appetizers. Around 715 we were finally offered rolls. At this point we ordered our main meals. The appetizers finally came out at 7:45. Nachos and spinach dip. Why it took so long, I have no idea. We asked for more bread and were brought out a few hard rolls and told of the kitchen had stopped baking them, but they found these left over and gave them to us. Not something you wanna hear. They were terrible. Appetizers were poor. Meals finally arrived around 830, two hours from the point that we sat down, two hours and 45 minutes from the time we arrived. The food was average to poor. I had the lobster and scallop risotto. Which was greasy. Service was unbearably slow and they did not seem to care in the least about our wait times or whether or not we were satisfied. We were told the kitchen was behind, then shortstaffed, And then I stopped listening to the excuses. I will not ever eat here again and certainly would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff had no interest in the customer at all. They seem very young and need to have some training on how to deal with customers. The kitchen needs to learn how to cook and how to cook fast. Nothing about this experience was...
Read moreI see reviews from people claiming that they experienced racism and rude treatment here but still have it a try and was disappointed to see that the rude/racist/homophobic energy was palpable. My partner and I are an interracial trans couple and we went there on Saturday morning for a nice casual brunch. We came in and saw the restaurant was not particularly busy other than a large table of a children’s sports team (roughly about a 10 top) and about two other 2 tops we decided to sit at the bar where there were about 6-8 other people sitting there. Despite having a bar tender and at least 4 other servers present and just “hanging out” we sat there for about 5 minutes with NO ONE at the bar receiving any service. Then once the bar tender did come over there was no acknowledgment or apology for our wait or lack of service she handed us menus not introduction no welcome in no warmth and turned to walk away we caught her and said “oh we are actually ready to order some drinks if you are ready.” The bar tender looked visibly irritated and annoyed and made it clear she did not appreciate us being there. She told us “well I’ll be back after I take care of these other folks” and proceeded to go check in with a group at the bar that already had been serviced with dishes in front of them. We then sat there for another 3-5 minutes with no acknowledgment, no water, and no sense that we would be getting service soon. We stood up and walked out and no one even tried to stop us or wished us a good day. We’ve never been here before and will never eat here because of this and definitely will not recommend it to any ethnic or queer...
