Two stars.This really truly saddens me. My Grandma and I have been coming here since I could walk. I used to love this place. We go in all the time to eat. However, lately the place has really changed. Even the atmosphere of it. It seems that maybe they’re even too busy for their own good. In the past three months, I have been there four times. Twice in the drive thru, each time I waited OVER 25 minutes for my food. Not only that but I was told to wait at the speaker and no one ever came back and I sat there pressing the button repeatedly, waiting for someone to answer. Each time, although good, the food was cold by the time I finally got it. When I went inside the 3rd time place a to-go at the counter, I called ahead of time to place the order, I waited 10 minutes for my drink. The staff was very polite about forgetting my drink, and apologized to me, I still wasn’t very upset at this point. Like I said, I’d been coming here my whole life. However, while inside I noticed signs like, “Be Nice or Leave.”, “We have fast service, no matter how long it takes.”. This to me sounds like, “F* the customer, we don’t care if you’re dissatisfied.”. Today I came in again with my husband and decided to sit inside, hoping that the service would be faster and I’d actually be able to eat my lunch DURING my lunch time. I walked in, I picked up the phone and waited 3 minutes before anyone answered to take my order. I then waited 30 minutes for my order. People that came in after me were served before me. I watched as my food SAT there for 10 minutes. Finally I got up to ask for my food to go and to pay and at that exact money the waited came around the corner with my food. My cold food that had been SITTING there. I asked him to please bag it up as we were taking it to go. He then went to do so, and sat there holding our shake in a glass, doing another employee who was working diligently to fill a new shake in a to go cup. He sat there for minutes just waiting for the employee to be finish what he was doing to fill the shake. He just stood there. Waiting for someone else to do a job he could have easily done by himself. 39 minutes to get a number 4 with a rootbeer and a shake. Absolutely insane. I then had to wait another 10 minutes to cash out and was late back from lunch and still hasn't eaten. Not to mention the tables had placemats on them, yet had rings and spilled condiments on them, so they were never wiped down. It's a joke. It's an actual joke. I don't want to see this place go down because I've loved it there for so long. However, whatever management or new ownership maybe might be going on, I don't know. It needs help. So hopefully they fix it soon, because I've seen and spoken to a lot of other unsatisfied customers there and some who said they won't be...

Note from 2022, For many decades this my favorite A&W location with a large retro dining room. Was closed for about a year until they found a new owner, so Happy. Sad they discontinued the phones at each booth that connects to Counter for placing your orders. No outside drive up order boards or canopy to park under, they come to your car with tablet waitress take order. Just go inside and have a seat, waitress come to table or line up at counter inside. This place really busy around lunch time. Yeah we had a coupon sheet, they let you use all you want. Got 2 Bacon Cheeseburger only 6 bucks good deal. She had really delicious Chicken Tender combo with Fries n Rootbeer. We added a Xtra order Tenders n Deep Fried Mushrooms absolutely fantastic. The mind blowing instant Addiction Sriracha Cheese Curds perfect Spicy I kicked up with A&W Spicy Sauce WOWED. A must try best ever eaten Cheese Curds for the Win. I stretched a couple Curds and placed on Burgers for another OMG. So Happy got a location near my house to pickup more Spicy Cheese Curds. Yes support these local Ma n Pa owned franchise locations so we have them around another 100 year's. Awesome experience eating at this location! The food was fresh, hot and they told me to have a seat and will bring my order to the table as soon as it’s ready. Brought it to me w/napkins & condiments 2-3 minutes after I paid for my order. Everything tasted great & the staff even checked on me a few minutes later to see if I needed anything and was happy with my meal. I wasn’t expecting this at a fast food restaurant. It was not very busy when I visited, so I don’t know if this is normal or not? regardless I thought it was very nice. I am going to eat here more often now and happy I stopped here for lunch. I haven’t eaten at an A&W in 10 years and forgot how good the food was, especially their Root Beer in a frosted mug!
