Charlie Ro's BBQ — Restaurant in Taylor

1 lb of brisket and 1/4 lb of sausage ordered. They were very friendly and asked necessary questions to ensure we were getting everything we wanted. The brisket was perfect! Moist, but not full of fat and very flavorful. Sausage was good. Not on the spectacular side, but good. I'm going there at least once a month.

UPDATE: 9 months later. OMG! Still an awesome place! Food is spectacular, but also their customer service. Today a big storm hit just as I entered the store, winds were blowing hard and the staff was concerned, as we all were. I placed my order and quickly received it, but didn't realize my sausage was not in the bag. Ran to the car in heavy winds and rain. got home and then saw that sausage wasn't there. Called Charlie Ro's and they already realized the mistake and said they would BRING IT TO ME! Wow, how awesome it that?! They made a simple mistake during a crazy storm and made it right by bringing it to me so that I wouldn't be stuck in the storm. To top that off, they gave me extra!! Hands down not only the best BBQ in the area (I go there a lot), but also the best customer service I've ever experienced. Charlie Ro's BBQ definitely knows how to do things...

Sold out quick, by 1:30ish. The Staff was apologetic but professional. We were looking for a quality BBQ place on the way back home from Austin, TX. This location had great reviews so we decided to give it a try. We got there and they were pretty much sold out but were offering great service. We got the last of the brisket and ribs along with some leg quarters. The brisket was moist but did not have much of a smoke ring. The ribs were dry and did not have much meat. The leg quarters were ok but we have had better. The potato salad was fresh but had a dill aftertaste. The banana pudding was freshly prepared but again we have had better. Unfortunately I went on a wednesday, that's when they have a very limited menu. They're not open Monday and Tuesday. It doesn't make sense. Anyway, I had the brisket sandwich, which was one of the things I wanted anyway. Very ample in size, the bread held together well, most importantly the meat was tender and delicious. It got a little dry at times, and I had to add a little bit of sauce, I'm a purist and want to taste the meat in its natural form. I get the pickles and onions on the side and dip them in a little bit of the sauce after I take a mouthful to give it a little bit more moisture when it's too dry. I will go back and try the full menu sometime and then hopefully...
